• lie on back with knees bent, extend leg and slide foot back as far as possible, but don't force further than it wants to go
  • lie on back with knees bent and hip width apart, raise butt slightly and make sure not to let knees touch. if lower back hurts focus on pushing pelvis down/out instead of straight up (? hard to describe, also hard to do)
  • ankle raises, all of them, for a couple seconds each time, using support if necessary

  • try walking in a swimming pool, water gives gentle resistance
  • try biking
