- List distractions and set aside.
- What do you already know; who, what, where, why, when, how.
- Choose one idea and write out all of your associations.
- Take a fresh look at the idea. What is the heart of the matter? Try to grasp the whole picture, not just the bits and pieces.
- Am I getting closer?
- Choose a thought from class that relates and describe what you know about it and how you think it connects to what you have already written.
- Read over what you have written.
- What was the progression of my thoughts?
