• i never liked the phrase “best friend”. maybe it’s because i never had a consistent best friend growing up. whenever i was close to someone who i referred to as my best friend, something would always happen that drove us apart. so now i’m afraid to use the phrase.
  • i didn’t intend to have a strong attachment to deer. it originated from my design for reyndog, a dog with deer antlers and got stronger when i remembered the animation “deer of nine colors”. it was an old film produced by the shanghai animation studio that made the journey to the west series my mom and i would watch together in my childhood. i intend to make my rendition of the deer of nine colors my first tattoo.
  • i had an obsession with survival and apocalypse preparation as a 10 year old. my favorite show was man vs. wild starring bear grylls and i dreaded every day leading up to december 21, 2012.
  • i dressed up as mulan for halloween three years in a row because i had a chinese supremacy complex in elementary school and also no other costumes to wear.
  • i mistook a korean boy in my 5th grade class as japanese and proceeded to hate him until i found out he was korean. he turned out to be a self righteous misogynistic christian in high school so i think it was justified.
  • all of my passwords are smosh references
  • my ex gave me a book called digital minimalism for my 17th birthday and it catalyzed a year long obsession with the minimalist lifestyle, but like the excessively capitalist and performatively aestheticized one where you get rid of worldly possessions to make room for productivity so i ended up giving away a good amount of my stuff and now i don't have much with me lol
  • i had my first sensory overload breakdown in my 5th grade class when everyone was talking over my teacher and i couldn't hear what she was saying so i walked up to the front of the class and yelled at everyone for not being quiet and proceeded to start crying but because i was so well revered by my classmates they all listened and approached me to apologize
