the birth of a star

scorpio. does it remember the fire? the massive flames had burned down his walls of concrete, wrecking every barrier he had built. the structure that intimidated and towered from above at those who dared to intrude. but what lied behind these seemingly unconquerable walls? a beast? a kingdom? perhaps nothing at all. maybe just barren land, and the only things that lived were the rumors themselves. the flames know secrets. it’s something worth much more. it was the king’s delicate heart, his fragile mortality. when the red storm silenced, nothing remained but the pulsating organ. the flames grasped it with a firey fist, and squeezed. the thing scorpio spent his life trying to protect became one with the ashes. but scorpio will sweep every last bit of it into the hollow dustpan of his chest. he will swallow every shattered piece of concrete and glass until the kingdom he once considered invincible was nothing but vacant land. of course scorpio will remember the fire, it’s impossible to forget. it is reborn. its fingers are bloody from picking up the broken shards, but scorpio will manage through and start again.

scorpio you have to rip open your chest, you have to pull apart the stitches sewing your lips together. life isn’t a game of cards, you can’t collect all of the secrets and tricks hidden up other people’s sleeves without dishing out your own. You may not know, but people are watching you. people know that you aren’t what you seem, and people know you’re hiding parts of yourself. life isn’t a game of hide and seek. you can’t hide behind a closed door and seek someone to understand you at the same time. you can’t go around soaking up peoples emotions, you have your own emotions to worry about. if you don’t stop you’re going to erupt every little thing you’ve been holding in since the day you knew what broken felt like. since the day you broke and was never able to find your pieces.

every star is a mirror

the human world is rarely enough for Scorpio. that can be why they provoke people’s souls, they want to see your insides, your darkness, your light. they can seem spiritually provocative, it’s like they know how to draw madness out of lovers, they can sense the unseen, they can experience states that question existence. And nothing is ever enough. they don’t want a lover. they want a reunion with a soul mate, their soul. they don’t want sex. they want angelic intimacy, the evaporation of bodies into intwined ether. Scorpio is preparing for death, but they don’t want to leave without truly tasting life. the superficial is rarely enough for Scorpio. they are discontent swimming in shallow waters. they become easily bored when their brilliant mind is under stimulated and unchallenged, they become distracted into unconscious trance when people are dull. tnd the Scorpio cannot force conversation. there are holes in the world that only Scorpio can see, and they will crawl into one when this world is not enough.

she is totally wild and untamed, disinterested in conforming to what has already been and done. her love is impossible to bottle, it must be released into the ether like a potion from heaven. she stirs the waves of transfiguration and transformation through others, and she is much too complex to understand with language and the mind. she can make you feel sad for days on end, but she can also lift you higher than the sun, and roll on the waves of the milky way with you. pluto’s child is celestially stunning.
