  • continue to do well in new job
    • i've done exceptionally well in my job this year. i feel confident in performing my duties; people respect my skills and work-ethic; I've had excellent feedback from my manager, and I think she genuinely likes me; I've developed a good relationship/dynamic with students. The workload is intense but I feel happy in my role.
  • take celta/tefl training course
    • i paid £150 to start a level 5 tefl academy training course. initially started well, but faded out and lost interest. didn't end up completing the course. this suggests doing english teaching is not for me.
  • go on another solo trip abroad
    • this one i have met, and more. when i look back, this year will be the year i discovered my love for solo-travel. this year i visited london, lanzarote, paris, dublin, berlin, krakow, lisbon and rome on my own. each trip was incredible; memories, experiences and people made to last a lifetime. i'm proud of myself and it has given me so much confidence, resilience and determination.
  • stop drinking so much
    • my drinking moderately improved; i fell into a bit of a slump again after rekindling my ex-situationship and it never worked out. i'm unfortunately still drinking more than i would like to. i feel like the pyschology behind it has changed though. i'm no longer drinking out of despair or unhappiness; i feel like i drink because i genuinely enjoy the taste and sensation, and i don't want to overpathologise it by saying i have a problem. is that just a cope? maybe.
  • develop new friendships
    • over the course of this year i've made great friends and connections from solo-travelling at work.
