mumbo is a genetically modified hitman, stone cold and almost indestructible, an artificial human created to be the perfect killer. grian is a valuable agency asset, originally intended to be a replacement for mumbo should anything happen to him, but ended up more fragile and too merciful for the assassin life, not to mention going into a catatonic state if he isn’t wearing a necklace with a vital isotope in it.

with stress taking the role of diana, she betrays the agency and whisks grian away in an attempt to protect him from their cruel plan. mumbo is sent to track her down and kill her as revenge, and he succeeds — but in a rare moment of humanity, he betrays the agency as she lay dying and promises to grant her last wish — don’t let grian turn into him.
