sykkuno, toast, and corpse are all roommates that have recently moved from their old place to a new rental home... in the middle of nowhere. at least it’s a nice house, even if it is a hundred and fifty years old.

currently being the only one without a job, sykkuno is often left all alone. corpse is literally nocturnal as of late, which sykkuno chalks up to stress, so it’s hard to really interact with him. sy doesn’t even know what he does while he’s awake all night, he just knows that it’s practically impossible to catch corpse awake before sunset. and while toast’s schedule is a little more lax and he’s physically around more, he’s been getting busier with work and can be a little snippy. while sy isn’t about to blame him for being stressed, he will admit that toast is currently not very good company most of the time.

perhaps it’s the distance growing between him and his best friends that compels sykkuno to search for friendship in his neighbours — the above, the below, the far away, and the unnervingly close.
