been really enjoying "better never to have been" by david benatar, a nonfiction book that makes arguments for anti-natalism (the idea that people shouldn't have children), and "infinite jest" by david foster wallace, which has a reputation that precedes it but it's about this tennis academy/family that runs + attends it and also this horrible drug addict at a halfway house and also this insane political conflict between the u.s. and canada that hasn't really been explained but just alluded to from how far i've read. they're both incredibly interesting & very engaging. OH and also "tom's crossing" by mark danielewski but i haven't picked it up in awhile :(
