Red Pandas are generally solitary. They have overlapping home ranges, where the individuals hardly interact with each other. Red Pandas mostly eat bamboo, and "However, red pandas search for the most tender bamboo shoots and leaves, and these prime specimens may be patchily distributed — not unlike the prey of larger animals such as jungle cats." (Red Panda: The Fire Cat by Miles Roberts (ZooGoer 21(2), 1992).

The predators of red pandas are, "Snow Leopards and Martens are the only real predators of the Red Panda along with Birds of Prey and small carnivores that prey on the smaller and more vulnerable cubs." (A-Z Animals, Nov 2008)

Three examples of the predator/prey relationships from the biome the red panda lives in: Snow Leopards and the Red Panda, Martens and the Red Panda, and Birds of Prey and the Red Panda.
