- Christmas itself. How depressing is it to celebrate making it through another year? We should be grateful for every good day of our lives so why is it we only remember this at Christmas?
- I'm not Christian. And technically December 25th wasn't supposedly Jesus' birthday anyway. It's all steeped in Pagan tradition that the Christians hijacked.
- People seem to become overly-obnoxious and rude at this time of year for some reason. There is no holiday spirit of loving and giving because horrible people just become worse!
- It's too commercial. And most of it is crap. Santa, cards, the novelties, the tacky movies...and most of it totally misses the point of what Christmas is supposed to be about.
- It's expensive. The food, the drinks, the crackers, the gifts, the cards, the wrappings, the tree, the decorations...an entire fortune for just a couple of days!
- Summer. It's too bloody hot! Definitely doesn't inspire the cosy, happy feeling and makes people cranky.
- Charities milk it for all it's worth. I have a beef with most charities not doing much to help in the long run and at Christmas these groups become overly pushy about helping people who are less fortunate. These people are poor all year round but because we made them believe in Christmas we now have to help them celebrate. Give me a break!
- Christmas carols. They're annoying!!! And they're everywhere!
- Overindulgence. There's always so much delicious food and parties where it is easy to eat too much!
- Christmas movies. They suck big time! They're either religious propaganda or disgusting saccharine pieces of crap.
