- being invited over for dinner at my uncle and aunts house
- playing cards with my grandparents

- chocolate pudding with fresh strawberries and whipped cream
- surviving a barely there earthquake
- discovering that my dogs do not have a 'fifth' sense when it comes to prematurely detecting said earthquake (there goes that theory)
- having lost the weight I gained over summer in a healthy and easy way (no dieting, lots of exercise!)
- staying up late to watch tennis
- falling asleep on the couch with Darwin sleeping next to me, while trying to stay up late to watch tennis
- Federer beating Tsonga in three sets (and thereby sort of making up for the Wimbledon disaster)
- My new Sophie Dahl cook book (From Season to Season)
- watching the seeds I planted grow into legitimate flowers and plants
- Darwin and Max sleeping, curled up to one another. (Even if it only lasted five minutes before Max once again fled the scene)
- hot and humid september evenings
- looking at the Harvest Moon
- the US Open men's final
- Planet hunting
- the return of the Office
