• All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven

2014 was a big year for young-adult novels and the trend is predicted to continue this year. All the Bright Places tells the story of a boy called Finch and a girl named Violet who both had their struggles, and when they meet on the ledge of their school's bell tower, they knew they’re each other’s saving grace.

• Carry On by Rainbow Rowell

The author of bestsellers Eleanor and Park and Fangirl is back with a new novel and the best thing about it is that it has all the elements of Rainbow Rowell's works that we have all grown to love. • Audacity by Melanie Crowder

Now this book shows some serious girl power. Audacity tells the story of the brave and spirited Clara Lemlick. She started the largest strike by women in American history as she fought for equal rights and better working conditions for the women employed in the factories on Manhattan's Lower East Side. It's based on a true story which makes it so much more inspiring.

• Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins

The fight against the Capitol is far from over and we know you’re still frustrated from the cliffhanger of the latest movie. Read up and give yourself a refresher because Mockingjay Part 2 is coming out this November.

• Ugly Girls by Lindsay Hunter

It tells the story of two young women, Baby Girl and Perry, trying to define themselves while facing suburban poverty. The novel is very realistic and it tackles issues that are socially relevant through a teenager’s perspective. We don't encounter books as refreshing and raw as this one so make sure you get to read it.

• The Conspiracy of Us by Maggie Hallx

It's about time we welcome a new series in our lives (it’s the first book in a trilogy). This is Maggie Hall's debut novel so watch for her because she might just be your new favorite author! The book tells the story of a young girl who discovers that she is heir to a secret society and she has to fight against it.

• My Heart and Other Black Holes by Jasmine Warga

Two teenagers meet on Suicide Partners, a website for people who are planning to end their lives but are just too afraid to do it alone. Will Roman and Aysel ever find a reason to stay alive? This book is a beautiful and moving depiction of depression and suicide that it will be so difficult to put down.

• Made You Up by Francesca Zappia

Follow the story of a girl who can’t seem to tell the difference between what’s real and what’s delusional. I know we shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but look at how awesome the art is on the book cover!

• Tiny Pretty Things by Sona Charaipotra and Dhonielle Clayton

It's Pretty Little Liars meets Black Swan in this novel. It revolves around three girls who are top students at a Manhattan Ballet school, and they’ll do anything to be the prima ballerina. Candy Girls who love dancing will definitely enjoy this one!

• Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials by James Dashner

This is the second installment to the Maze Runner Series. The Gladers and Thomas have escaped the maze and they’re on to the next challenge of their lives. This time it will be more exciting since the characters have come to life in the first movie of the trilogy. We know you'll imagine a lot of swoon-worthy Dylan O'Brien as you go through this one!

• 21 Proms by John Green, Libba Bray, Holly Black, and David Levithan, etc.

21 Proms is a collection of 21 short stories written by 21 amazing authors (the list includes our fave YA author, John Green). Prom can be a magical night and it can also go horribly wrong, but we can all agree that it is one of the most memorable nights of our high school life. Prom season is almost upon us so this one is the perfect read!

• Playlist for the Dead by Michelle Falkoff

Protagonist Sam tries to figure out the mystery behind his best friend's death using a playlist of songs and a suicide note he left behind. This book is being compared to Jay Asher's 13 Reasons Why and if you enjoyed that one, this book will surely be worth checking out.

• Love Letters to the Dead by Ava Dellaira

Laurel is a grieving lost soul who deals with her sister’s death by writing letters to Amelia Earheart, Janis Joplin, Amy Winehouse, Kurt Cobain, and other famous people who have passed away. If you're a fan of Stephen Chbosky's The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, you'll surely fall in love with this one!

• The Museum of Intangible Things by Wendy Wunder

Two teen girls flee New Jersey and their predictable futures for adventure. Hannah and Zoe embark on an exciting road trip but trust us, it is not just your typical road trip book. It tackles mental illness, making it such a thought-provoking read. We're also incredibly drawn to the cute cover!

• The Blood of Olympus by Rick Riordan

The final installment to the Heroes of Olympus Series has finally come (such bittersweet news for all the fans) and we can’t wait to see how Percy Jackson and the gang of young demigods will protect the world from the dangerous giants and prevent the awakening of Gaea. We're still not ready to say goodbye to the world of demigods *cue tears*.

• Falling Into Place by Amy Zhang

This one is said to be a mash-up of Gayle Forman's If I Stay and Lauren Oliver's Before I Fall (and we adored loved both). The story begins after high school junior Liz Emerson survives her suicide attempt. What's super cool is that Amy Zhang brilliantly incorporated Physics concepts in her novel—now that's one way to make Physics exciting!

• This One Summer by Mariko Tamaki and Jillian Tamaki

This is a graphic novel and if you’re not the type who reads graphic novels, this one right here will turn you into an avid fan of the medium. The artwork is absolutely amazing and the detail on all the frames is simply phenomenal. This will totally be a refreshing addition to your collection!

• To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han

The story unfolds when Lara Jean Song's love letters that were never meant to get sent find their way to the hands of her unrequited crushes way back to her middle school days. Just imagine how crazy everything turns out for Lara! If you loved Jenny Han's The Summer I Turned Pretty series, this one is right up your alley.

• Side Effects May Vary by Julie Murphy

This book follows 16-year old Alice, a girl diagnosed with Leukemia, decides to spend her final months righting wrongs. But just when Alice's scores were settled, she goes into remission and now she has to face a whole new set of consequences. This is a beautiful quote from the book that just makes us more eager to read it: "Then he left, and with him he took the sun, the moon, the stars, and anything inside of me that might have been good." This book will definitely bring out all our feels!

• When by Victoria Laurie

If someone told you that you could know the date of your death, would you want to? This is just one of the thought-provoking questions that you'll encounter in When. The main character Maddie has the ability to know her own death date and that of everyone else around her. This book could be a breath of fresh air if you want to take a break from the usual chick lit.

• All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr

It is the story of two teenagers living on opposite sides of the conflict during World War 2. There is Werner, a German orphan with the knack of fixing and building things, and a Parisian girl named Marie-Laure, who becomes blind as a child and then must learn to adjust to a new life. All the Light We Cannot See is war and a coming-of-age story wrapped up into one and there's just no reason for you not to love it!

• Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover

• The Circle by Dave Eggers

This is a dystopian novel tackling the perils of the Internet in the era of social media, making it a very relevant theme. It raises important questions on technology, ambition, privacy, and the limits of human knowledge. This novel has received mixed reviews and that just makes it more intriguing!

• The Opposite of Loneliness: Essays and Stories by Marina Keegan

The author graduated Magna Cum Laude in Yale. She had a play that was to be produced at the New York International Fringe Festival and a job waiting for her at the New Yorker but unfortunately, she died five days after graduation in a car crash. She leaves us with a vast collection of short stories and essays and as millennials just like her, we’ll surely relate to her inspiring works.

This book answers all the absurd, random, and geeky questions in life. This is by far, the most entertaining book you'll ever read!

• Better off Friends by Elizabeth Eulberg

This novel tries to answer the age-old question "Can a guy and a girl ever really be just friends?" This book is one of the best titles coming from the best friend romances trope and you wouldn't want to miss it!

• A Little Something Different by Sandy Hall

We are just meant to love this one! It follows Lea and Gabe, classmates in the same creative class, who are obviously meant to be together but they can’t see it just yet. If you loved Rainbow Rowell’s Fangirl and you’re looking for a book that is equally adorable, this will be an instant favorite.

• Glitter and Glue by Kelly Corrigan

This is a memoir of a daughter and her relationship with her mother throughout the years. This is one of those books that can change how we see life and the people around us, most especially our parents. Brace yourselves for a sob-fest because this one's a legit tearjerker!

• Gracefully Grayson by Ami Polonsky

It tells the story of twelve-year old boy named Grayson who firmly believes that he’s a girl stuck in the wrong gender’s body. Gracefully Grayson sends a very powerful message and Ami Polonsky showed great courage in sharing Grayson’s inspiring story to the world. Another favorite author of ours, Rick Riordan gave this book a rating of 5/5 stars!

• Autumn Falls by Bella Thorne

This is Disney star Bella Thorne's debut novel (is there anything this teen icon can't do?). It tells the story of a red-headed misfit whose wishes start coming true when she writes them in her late father's journal. Fans of the Shake it Up star will love this novel to bits!

This novel reminds us of Emma Roberts' 2008 movie, Wild Child.

Erin's works are being compared to John Green's because of the incredible wit and cleverness of the characters she creates. In Love and Other Foreign Words, we meet an insanely smart sixteen-year old Josie, who’s just as confused about the language of love as we all are. Read this book if you want a dose of refreshing, intelligent humor!

Stephanie Perkins did it again! Fans of Anna and the French Kiss and Lola & The Boy Next Door won’t be disappointed. This book is so perfect it will make you feel as if you're floating in a perfect literary cloud. The best thing about it? The happily ever after *dreamy sigh*.

• Smart by Kim Slater

Can we just take a second to appreciate this novel's fabulous cover? It tells the story of Kieran Woods, a guy who's amazing at drawing but terrible at fitting in. He discovers a dead body in the river and decides that the man was murdered and the case needs to be solved. This mystery stunner truly deserves a spot on your shelf.

• Two Girls Staring at the Ceiling by Lucy Frank

Follows the relationship between two very different teenage girls who share a hospital room and an illness. What’s unique about this novel is that it is written in verse and it uses lines down the center of some of its pages. The line represents the hospital curtain separating two girls with Crohn's disease. Cool, huh?

• Starring Kitty by Keris Stainton

Kitty, with her friends Sunny and Hannah, join a fun film competition to get rid of distractions and to cope with the struggles of her mom’s illness. Starring Kitty is a delightful read that will surely be one of you favorites after you finish it. It’s the perfect YA novel and we couldn’t recommend it enough! Fun Fact–every Keris Stainton’s book mentions a Sesame Street Character.
