“gimme hate, lord,” he whimpered. “i’ll take hate any day. but don’t give me love. i can’t take no more love, lord. i can’t carry it... it’s too heavy. jesus, you know, you know all about it. ain’t it heavy? jesus? ain’t love heavy? don't you see, lord? your own son couldn't carry it. if it killed him, what you think it's gonna do to me?”

> before you start with a beauty routine, see a dermatologist to help you with your skin! or if you can't go to the dermatologist, research the products well before using them. do not use “the most popular product” without knowing the ingredients, or it may cause allergies to your skin.

˗ˏˋmorning routineˎˊ˗

  • step one - wash with water

> first thing in the morning, cleanse your skin with only water, not cleanser. water removes the few impurities that settle on the face during the night, and keeps skin hydrated, too ♡

♡ suggestion: use the face towel gently, or try waiting for your face to dry naturally. you will notice the difference; and if you want to use cleanser, choose a gentle one and use it especially when using acids at night ˶ˆ꒳ˆ˵

  • step two - toner

> to balance the skin's pH levels, it's important to apply toner; otherwise the skin can become dry and dehydrated. toner further helps to absorb the next products you apply ♡

♡ suggestion: use only moisturizing toners, without alcohol and sulfate in the composition. try to use only toners with ingredients like hyaluronic acid, niacinamide (vitamin b3) and panthenol (vitamin b5) in the composition for better hydration

  • step three - serum

> concentrated formulas with an unprecedented amount of active ingredients, serums target specific skin concerns like wrinkles, dark spots, and dehydration ♡

♡ suggestion: in the morning, use serum with ascorbic acid (vitamin c) in the composition. vitamin c will enhance the photoprotective action and combat the damage caused by other sources of aggression such as pollution. serums that have hyaluronic acid are also great for hydration ◝(ᵔᵕᵔ)◜

  • step four - moisturiser

> next apply a soothing moisturiser in a light layer across the skin for long lasting all-day hydration ♡

♡ suggestion: use moisturizers with aloe vera, hyaluronic acid, ceramides, niacinamide (vitamin b3), panthenol (vitamin b5), ascorbic acid (vitamin c) and tocopherol (vitamin e). do not use moisturizers with silicone and alcohol

  • step five - eye cream

> smooth a light eye cream across both the brow and socket bone moving from the inner to outer corner of the eye. here, the skin is at its thinnest as there are no sebaceous glands to produce natural oils, so it's important to keep this area hydrated and protected all day long ♡

♡ suggestion: use your ring finger when using eye cream, because the skin of your eyes is very sensitive and needs more care!

  • (VERY IMPORTANT!!!) step six - sunscreen

> applying sunscreen shouldn't be reserved for the summer holidays. protecting the skin on a daily basis from UV rays will avoid the development of dark spots, wrinkles and fine lines

˗ˏˋnighttime routineˎˊ˗

  • step one - cleansing oil or cleansing balm

> for the evening, select an oil based cleanser to start with as this will work to remove oil based makeup and impurities from the skin ♡

♡ suggestion: when using cleansing oil, spread it well over your face and emulsify. if it doesn’t emulsify, pimples may develop on your face; and do not use comedogenic cleaning oils!

  • step two - cleanser

> following the oil cleanser, use a water-based cleanser to gently remove the oil residue and water-based impurities from the day. its called double cleansing

♡ suggestion: no matter if it is a cleansing bar, cleansing gel or cleansing foam, always choose a gentler one, without sulfate, alcohol, fragrance and petrolatum in the composition. niacinamide (vitamin b3), hyaluronic acid and panthenol (vitamin b5) are great and best ingredients for your skin (ꈍᴗꈍ)♡

  • step three - toner

> in the same morning manner, next apply a toner to balance the skin's pH levels ♡

♡ suggestion: in the same morning manner, use moisturizing toners for better hydration. astringent toners and exfoliating toners should not be used every day, only when your skin needs exfoliation

  • step four - serum

> following which the serum should then be worked into the specific areas of concern ♡

  • step five - moisturiser

> select a night time moisturiser to keep those skin loving ingredients locked in, allowing you to wake to a beautifully rejuvenated complexion ♡

  • step six - eye cream

> apply an eye cream to protect and hydrate the delicate eye area ♡

  • special cares:
    • exfoliate

> twice a week use a gentle enzyme or bead-based exfoliator to remove the dead skin cells that can make the complexion appear lack-lustre whilst blocking pores and preventing key product ingredient absorption ♡

> chemical exfoliation and physical exfoliation

    • sheet mask

> the sheet mask is a korean beauty favourite – a cloth saturated with skin loving ingredients! perfect for all skin types, everyone can benefit from these masks which deliver a deeply hydrating and anti-ageing treatment ♡

  • face mask:

> from drawing out excess oil and impurities to awakening tired-looking skin, using a weekly face mask can greatly help improve the appearance of your complexion ♡

> benefits of face mask

  • acids:

> the word “acid” conjures up images of bubbling test tubes and thoughts of scary chemical burns. but when used at the right concentrations, acids are actually some of the most beneficial ingredients available in skin care ♡

> face acids: types, benefits and how to choose the best one

  • essential oils:

> essential oils are the volatile essences of plants that create unique, wafting fragrances. they can be extracted from any plant’s flowers, bark, stem, leaves, roots, and sometimes its fruits. no matter the source, these oils are complex mixtures, often containing up to 60 different substances—some good for skin, others not so good. the volatile fragrant portion of plants is what makes essential oil for skin problematic—but these compounds can be beneficial, too. this duality makes things confusing for people because the truth is that although the oils smell wonderful, what’s good for your nose is rarely good for your skin ♡
