- 01/06: aperitif ▸ friends ▸ olympics ▸ books ▸ relax
- we had an aperitif with some friends of ours, we've known them for over ten years, we meet at the beach every summer, but this was the first time we had time to sit down and chat
- they're nice, and we had fun, but moments like those reinforce my belief that I'm truly not made for social life lmao
- my books and book cover arrived! I got "I dolori del giovane Werther" by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and "Un'estate con la Strega dell'Ovest" by Kaho Nashiki
- 07/16: ferragosto ▸ beach ▸ dad's bday ▸ sleepy ▸ annoyed
- dad's bday was pretty enjoyable until my uncle announced the day of his marriage and the night got sour pretty fast.
- ferragosto came and passed, we spent the whole day at the beach! The water was boiling, it was almost disgusting to swim in it…damned climate change.
- our new mayor lengthened the duration of our city's festival and extended it to marine cities; I can't wait to have fun, shop and eat a lot! lmao
- 18: 🦔 ▸ shopping ▸ family time ▸ hot ▸ lunch
- i set foot in a shop where for the first time i felt truly poor💀
- but i still managed to get a pretty cool bag that is small but gigantic, all my things plus my ebook fit in it, it's a miracle
- 24: city festival ▸ shopping ▸ books ▸ walk ▸ happy
- i bought three classics for ten bucks and i couldn't be happier!!
- northanger abbey by jane austen, dubliners by james joyce and the castle of otranto by horace walpole.
- 25: city festival pt2 ▸ dad ▸ worry ▸ aunt ▸ late
- my dad felt like coming to the festival with us, I'm so happy. It's been a year since he's been sick, but I feel like he's fighting this illness with all his might and that makes me really proud of him.
- bought tons of mustazzuoli which are a typical cinnamon and chocolate biscuit!
- got our night ruined by the fright that our grandma instilled in us by calling us every thirty minutes to tell us that my aunt hasn't been answering her calls.
- my aunt is severely ill to the point that she had to get admitted to a mental hospital thrice, she's so young and has a child, I hope nothing ever happens to her.
- she was alive and "well" but the way she was talking and behaving was so weird; she was joking about going to the hospital again and being controlled by cars and phones…I knew she was ill but seeing it first hand made me deeply sad, I love her so much.
- 26: festival ▸ pistachio croissant ▸ family lunch ▸ anger ▸ cards
- 27: shower ▸ happiness ▸ amusement park ▸ food ▸ family
- Dad had our bathroom altered and got us a shower, i'm so happy i could cry
- went to the amusement park with our family and my uncle's friends, I resigned myself to the idea that he's truly getting married to that woman, but it's still so hard to accept.
- the fact that she behaves like a kid is so annoying: everything we buy she wants, every ride she saw kids on she wanted to go on too.
- i don't know y'all, i guess they're happy but the whole relationship is so idiotic, and I'm so ashamed to talk about it with anyone else, i hope to god nobody ever finds out that he's marrying her.
- still, we had "fun" and ate a delicious hamburger and crêpe
- 28: throat ache ▸ tired ▸ sabrina carpenter's album ▸ cloudy ▸ bored
- 29/31: shopping ▸ medicine ▸ the secret history ▸ too hot ▸ insomnia
- started reading the secret history because everyone loves it, but why is it so boring? I hope that I'll change my mind in a few pages, unless i want this to be another "a little life" kind of situation.
