Stolen from Miss Emily Fisher. I don't think she'll mind.

  • How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are? At first, I thought this question was asking me what age I want to be. But instead it's asking me what age I am. I think I'd probably be 21 or 22? I like to think I'm mature for my age, but LAWD if these next 6 months drag on...
  • Which is worse, failing or never trying? Never trying seems to be the right answer, but I think it's possible to fail so horribly that you regret trying.
  • If life is so short, why do we do so many things we don’t like and like so many things we don’t do? Because a lot of people aren't priveleged enough to do what they love and be successful at it. There are bills to pay and problems to solve, and unfortunately, not everyone can do that while just doing the things they love. Wow, hello grown-up Sarah.
  • When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you’ve done? I hope not. I wanna live, live, live, live, live until I DIE. Too soon?
  • What is the one thing you’d most like to change about the world? "No more lives torn apart, and wars would never start, and time would heal all hearts. And everyone would have a friend, and right would always win, and love would never end. This is my grown-up Christmas list. :)
  • If happiness was the national currency, what kind of work would make you rich? The work that I'm doing! BAM
  • Are you doing what you believe in, or are you settling for what you are doing? I am 100% doing what I believe in with all my heart. So lucky.
  • If the average human life span was 40 years, how would you live your life differently? I had a talk with a friend yesterday and, without getting too morbid, I'm pretty sure I'm going to die young. I just have a feeling. So I don't think I would really do anything differently. I'm pretty much living the way I want to, and I see no point in anticipating death, no matter when you think it's coming.
  • To what degree have you actually controlled the course your life has taken? Up to this point? I'm just sort of beginning to really control my life. Up until a couple of years ago I was pretty much reliant on my parents, and while I still am, a lot of what I'm doing is up to me, and it's a great feeling.
  • Are you more worried about doing things right, or doing the right things? In general, doing the right things. If you do something wrong, most likely there's a way or a chance to fix it, but if you do the wrong thing, sometimes you can't take it back.
  • You’re having lunch with three people you respect and admire. They all start criticizing a close friend of yours, not knowing she is your friend. The criticism is distasteful and unjustified. What do you do? Back that bitch up! If she's my friend, you KNOW I'll defend her to anyone, no matter how much I respect their opinions. The real question is, why do I respect and admire people who are criticizing someone rudely behind her back...BOOM SURVEY. WHAT UP NOW.
  • If you could offer a newborn child only one piece of advice, what would it be? Dream hard. Work harder.
  • Would you break the law to save a loved one? In a heartbeat
  • Have you ever seen insanity where you later saw creativity? EVERY DAY IN THIS PLACE
  • What’s something you know you do differently than most people? I type in home row position a la the second grade. There are a lot of people who don't...I dunno.
  • How come the things that make you happy don’t make everyone happy? uhh because we're all different?
  • What one thing have you not done that you really want to do? What’s holding you back? I want to TRAVEL. EVERYWHERE. Money is holding me back. Most of the things I haven't done are solely because of lack of funds. Money makes the world go round...
  • Are you holding onto something you need to let go of? Constantly. In this case, someBODY.
  • If you had to move to a state or country besides the one you currently live in, where would you move and why? I'm going to agree with Miss Fisher and say London or New York. They're just too fabulous to resist, and great for what I want to do. Yes please.
  • Do you push the elevator button more than once? * Do you really believe it makes the elevator faster? Sometimes I do, usually only if the light behind the button is broken. But I give it a good, hard press, just to make sure the elevator heard me. No, I know the elevator goes one speed. I just like to make sure.
  • Would you rather be a worried genius or a joyful simpleton? I think a joyful simpleton, but the idea of being dumb doesn't really appeal to me...
  • Why are you, you? Who else is better qualified?
  • Have you been the kind of friend you want as a friend? For the most part. I've let some people down in a way that I would never want done to me, but on the whole, I'm a fiercely loyal friend.
  • Which is worse, when a good friend moves away, or losing touch with a good friend who lives right near you? I think losing touch with a good friend who lives near you is sadder.
  • What are you most grateful for? My strength, my fabulous friends and family, and the ability to do what I do.
  • Would you rather lose all of your old memories, or never be able to make new ones? If I had to pick (Rude) I think I'd rather lose my old memories. But then how would you make new memories, because then those would eventually become old and you'd lose them too..
  • Is is possible to know the truth without challenging it first? I'm unsure. I don't think so.
  • Has your greatest fear ever come true? No.
  • Do you remember that time 5 years ago when you were extremely upset? Does it really matter now? Yes I remember. And no, it doesn't matter now, but it still irks me a little.
  • What is your happiest childhood memory? What makes it so special? I think it's doing my shows in KC from 1999-2002. I learned so much that I didn't know was important or useful until I got to Webster. A lot of valuable memories and life experience for someone so young. I don't know who I'd be without so much professional experience at a young age. I'm NOT saying that to toot my own horn, I was NINE for God's Sake. But whew looking back, I was so lucky.
  • At what time in your recent past have you felt most passionate and alive? Run of Threepenny: November 17-21. Every night for 2h45m
  • If not now, then when? Someday.
  • Have you ever been with someone, said nothing, and walked away feeling like you just had the best conversation ever? No. If things don't get said I feel like there's A)a chance I misinterpreted the eye contact or whatever and B) I'm unsatisfied if maybe my thoughts weren't conveyed. I LIKE TO TALK.
  • Why do religions that support love cause so many wars? As long as there are people who believe in God(s) there will be killing in His name. As long as people have opinions. Whether the religion has anything to do with love is irrelevant. It's about fighting to keep what you believe.
  • Is it possible to know, without a doubt, what is good and what is evil? Sometimes, I think yes.
  • If you just won a million dollars, would you quit your job? No, but I'd be able to be less practical with my work choices maybe. I could do the work I WANTED rather than work to pay the bills.
  • Would you rather have less work to do, or more work you actually enjoy doing? More work I enjoy doing, without question.
  • Do you feel like you’ve lived this day a hundred times before? Sometimes in Conservatory I do, but not today. The last 24 hours have been a DOOZY.
  • When was the last time you marched into the dark with only the soft glow of an idea you strongly believed in? I'm not sure I've ever taken that big of a risk.
  • If you knew that everyone you know was going to die tomorrow, who would you visit today? Loved ones, the people who matter. But if everyone's dying, then everyone will be visiting their loved ones, so I have to hope they pick me too...
  • Would you be willing to reduce your life expectancy by 10 years to become extremely attractive or famous? Hell no. Like I said, I'm dying young anyways. I'll do the attractive/famous thing on my own. ;)_
  • What is the difference between being alive and truly living? Being alive means you have a body, a pulse, and you're breathing. Truly living means your soul is full and you're doing everything to the utmost.
  • When is it time to stop calculating risk and rewards, and just go ahead and do what you know is right? When your gut tells you.
  • If we learn from our mistakes, why are we always so afraid to make a mistake? We're not programmed to WANT to fail. Just because I look good in brown, doesn't mean I want to slip and fall into a puddle of mud to make that happen. That's a terrible metaphor, but you know what I'm saying?
  • What would you do differently if you knew nobody would judge you? I would take more risks. There's a lot of judgment here.
  • When was the last time you noticed the sound of your own breathing? Last night in deep conversation with a friend. I'm hyper aware of breath thanks to this place I call the Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University.
  • What do you love? Have any of your recent actions openly expressed this love? YEAAAHS.
  • In 5 years from now, will you remember what you did yesterday? What about the day before that? Or the day before that? Probably not last night, although it seems MONUMENTAL to me right now, I'll remember the terrifying car accident from Wednesday though. I've never been so scared.
  • Decisions are being made right now. The question is: Are you making them for yourself, or are you letting others make them for you? Been making them for myself since 1990. Don't plan on stopping any time soon. :)
