Cold enters through your feet, and cold creates cramps - keep your feet warm

If your period cramps are bad, try:

  • soaking your feet in warm water every night before bed
  • drinking bone broths
  • keeping your uterus warm (heat pads, cloth bands, keeping your feet warm)
  • avoiding cold foods (salads, ice drinks, ice cream)
  • drinking warming teas
  • eating iron-replenishing foods (meat, certain soups, dark colored foods typically signify high iron)
  • eat a warm, small nutritious breakfast (congee, hot porridge)
  • get enough movement to have a very slight sweat and pant (that's it!)
  • keep stress down (deep breaths)
  • prioritize sleep (sleep earlier, keep electronics away from bedtime)
