- aloe Vera is a wonder product. I'll find a list of stuff you can do with it but for now all I can remember is that it makes your eyelashes nicer! Just put a wee bit of aloe Vera gel on your lashes and leff it. I've only ever done it once but if you do it every now and then it will make them healthier.
- dry your hair with an old tshirt and not a towel because towel drying introduces more frizz
- experiment with a lot of hair products.. although many products say best results when used with other products from that line if you mix it up and find a combination that works for you, you're good to go.
- HAIR MASKS ARE NICE.......... you can make them at home if you want but the store bought ones are simple and work pretty well. Read the instructions on the back if they're like keep in your hair for X minutes then wash out, that's what you're looking for. You can keep it in for a little longer than it says to if your hair is really thick, like 10 mins instead of 7 etc
- for whiter teeth use baking soda and hydrogen peroxide
- curly hair people don't touch your hair when it's drying
- I'm sure everyone already knows this but it's good to start with warm water when doing anything to open pores/cuticles/whatever then use cold water to close them back and seal in the stuff.
- although heat is helpful for keeping thick natural hair in check it is really good to let your hair be freeeeeeee from heat for as long as you can manage. Your hair will thank you~ if you are styling it with heat though apparently a cool shot of air with the blow dryer (if it had that setting) sets the style or something
- I found out yesterday that if you want to tame flyaways you can use hairspray on a toothbrush to smooth them down wowie
- CHANGE YUH RAHTID SHEETS
- apparently a diffuser attachment is good for getting hair to dry curly and stay that way but I have yet to try it
- honey is nice to use
- I agree with shwe on the sugar and olive oil stuff it's really nice
- lemon juice can also be used on your elbows and knees if they're dark like mine.
- if you want to ever clean out your pores you can either make a yoghurt mask (I have yet to try that) or just buy the strip thingies they have in pharmacies. It won't really make a difference I think both just get stuff out but obviously won't get everything out. Wash your face with a scrub using warm or hot water really well, use the thing then when you're done you can ice your skin or use cold water to close back the pores. When you see all the nasty stuff that has been chilling in your face it's kinda gross but oddly satisfying. Anyway not everyone will have as much stuff sitting around depending on their pore size but you can inspect your face to see if it is really an issue.
- sleeping with your hair braided or in a bun or something works just like everyone has ever said. It'll work better if your hair is damp but when it's very wet you'll wake up and some areas will still be soaking. If it's completely dry then it won't be as effective. You can use the blow dryer to set it better
