Get that gunk off your sole!

  • Use a face wash cloth! These are super helpful cause since you wipe your body and the land down under with your regular towel, you don’t want to contaminate your pretty face! (Even if you just showered). Make sure to change it/wash it regularly.
  • Speaking of showering! Let the hot water run, let the steam fog the glass- it’s good for your pores! Heat makes them open up and get all that gross acne-forming bacteria out
  • But don’t wash your hair with hot water! Cold water is best. Even if it’s cold out, try not to go hotter than lukewarm for your hair, OK?
  • If you’re feeling that pain under your skin, chances are you’re developing an underground pimple!!! Also referred to as cystic acne, these are the worst, worst, WORST! They take extra weeks to go away, and sometimes they rise to the surface like satan spawn. So keep ‘em under control by rubbing ice on them in 15 second intervals, for about a minute or so (longer is fine), and then slap some Vick’s Vaporub on it overnight. It should be completely better in a couple of days!
  • The above process can work with pimples as well, but remember that when putting stuff on your face, it’s best to use a clean medium like q-tips. No matter how clean you think your hands are, they’re not clean enough!
  • Lemon or lime juice is also really good for acne scars and acne itself (as well as insect bite marks). It’s a bleaching agent so it lightens all dark spots (get rid of those little sun spots or insect bites!) and the acid in it kills bacteria. But if you have sensitive skin, dilute it with water first. And make sure you don’t have cuts on your face. Speaking from personal experience- OUCH!
  • You already know this, but remember to never touch your face if you don’t need to throughout the day! And don’t pick at acne either!
  • Tomatoes are also good at lightening dark spots, and good for balancing your skin’s pH level- it’s basically Mother Nature’s natural toner. But since both tomatoes and lemons are organic, they take longer than store bought products. On the up side, they’re natural! And most likely will never irritate your skin.
  • The order in the morning is cleanser/wash, then toner, then moisturizer! Toner is like tiny little soldiers settling in your pores to protect you from harmful stuff!
  • On that note, make sure your moisturizer has SPF! Sunscreen is essential to everyday life, and when you’re 30 you will want to look like you’re fresh out of college! So in the event that you still don’t have a man, you can snag Zac Efron from the frat next door.
  • Homemade remedies are pretty good actually…got chapped lips? Not to fear! It’s nothing a little sugar and oil scrub can’t do! This is also a good way to make your legs so heavenly that you’ll be a cricket. Literally. Mix 2 parts sugar with 1 part oil! You can add a tiny dash of vanilla to it to make yourself smell sweet as well! Just rub some over your lips and scrub it, and then put some all over your legs and shave! Be careful though, the oil makes the shower floors a little slippery, so it’s best to use a wet wash cloth…using it on your legs also kinda hurts, but all in the name of smooth nice legs!
  • Vaseline is Heaven sent. Use it for chapped lips, cracked cuticles, on your nose when you’re all stuffy and the skin gets flaky, and generally a moisturizer! You can also put Vaseline/petroleum jelly on your eyebrows and eyelashes.
  • Clear mascara is a way to get your eyebrows on point and keep them on point! Brush, and then apply a little clear mascara over it. It dries right up, and keeps those cuties looking right! Clear mascara is also really good for making your lashes look nice but in a discreet manner. No clumpy black mascara, but you’ll still look cute for those impromptu hallway run-ins!
  • Remember to check the ingredients in your face wash and so on. There are two chemicals mainly used in treating acne- Benzyl Peroxide and salicylic acid. While one may do wonders the other may or may not give you more breakouts… Yikes! But be patient, it takes time (and a little extra cash) to find those Holy Grail products. But your face is worth it you cutie!
  • I mentioned this earlier, but ice is very good in terms of tightening your pores and keeping your face refreshed and clear, as well as soothing troublesome bumps.
  • Aloe vera anything is good as well!
  • Go out to your nearest pharmacy or something and treat yourself to a tinted lip balm. Not only does it keep your lips soft and moisturized, but the tint makes you 100x cuter. Seriously.
  • To keep your skin hydrated and nice throughout the day, run to the nearest Daiso or pharmacy to buy a small spray bottle, and pour some of your toner in it. Spraying it throughout the day provides extra protection from dirt and bacteria! Just don’t spray too much
  • Apple Cider Vinegar is awful in taste, but it does wonders to your skin. You can make lemonade or drink some juice in the morning and put some apple cider vinegar in it to hide the taste, but not only does it make your skin amazingly clear, it helps your body in general! (Google it my readers)
  • The last and most important tip I’ll leave for you all today is- No matter how many products you buy, or how clear your skin is, you can’t be pretty unless you feel pretty. So walk with a smile on your face and a spring in your step and feel pretty like the pretty female you are!!!
