While not all of these characters are love interests, I am drawn to them. Bailey Oh man, how can I even start? Bailey is by far the most difficult character for me to write personally. PC’s jailer, her bailor, and Possibly mirroring my own feelings/desires to crack someone invincible. To make them want the same way I do.
Whitney The canonical push and pull of Whitney and PC is mesmerising. He’s the emotionally stunted bully who never grew out of his “pull their pigtails if you like them” phase. I HC them as someone who could feasibly work under Bailey with aspirations of either replacing him or growing into a competitor. It would really depend on how their relationship with PC goes. At high love, low dominance he’s likely to be a direct competitor but less in the flesh route, and more general scumbaggery. PC would assist willingly. At high love and high dom, he’s likely to take over Bailey’s operation with PC reluctantly forced to assist.
Avery Avery is extremely well written in the latest update - he actually deviates a bit from how I pictured him with the previous iterations of the game (I was happy to keep him as a walking wallet). Not complaining, though. He frustrates me personally because of the parallels I can draw from him to my previous relationships. Ones where the imbalance of power is evident and causes significant emotional struggle for me. He has moments where he shows he can be good for PC, but it’s purely conditional. Behave this way or do as I command. His reactions are disgustingly similar to those I have been subjected to IRL, albeit a bit dramatised due to /porn+trauma simulator/ dynamics. However, the feelings evoked are not too dissimilar to ones many people face in a relationship – toxic or not. The way I write PC’s behaviour with Avery is a stark mirror of how I have reacted previously, and it’s uncomfortable to look the past in the eye. I think Avery truly is “good” inside with well-meaning intentions. He just reacts the way he knows. Exerting power, But just because we recognise WHY he lashes out doesn’t make it right. I do not believe PC is morally white, and this is one of the main reasons she justifies, protects, and stays with Avery. I used to get angry at the domestic abuse PSAs that were plastered on public toilet doors – like, who are they to fucking judge my relationship. I’ve rationalised a lot, the same way PC does and that’s what makes PC and Avery’s relationship compelling to me. Albeit embarrassing.
Wren PLEASE MORE WREN CONTENT. Also another tricky one to write, but god-damn, this man is hot. Probably the absolute WORST guy for me tbh. The main reason being that I quite literally spiral Of course I’ve been attracted to Wren types in the past and that has caused me to spiral significantly.
Eden/Alex If Wren is the worst, these two are arguably the best. It’s unfortunate because I feel very little for either. They both lack the social connections that I admire, while basically remaining shackled to their respective safehouses. Alex in particular is a character similar to my current relationship, which i probably why he’s so boring to me from a literary perspective. He lacks the emotional depth provided from Whitney, Avery, and Bailey. Eden HAS it, however, I’m just not interested in being a literal tradwife stuck in the woods with some dude who pretty much just grunts all of the time and reads fishing magazines. Oh, and sorry, not interested in his rape first, marry later perspective. It’s giving Borat. IDK. Sorry, but two traumatised orphans stuck in a shack that reeks of animals just doesn’t really interest me. Give me Avery’s mansion and his pretty words.
Kylar Kylar is actually fun to write due to his distinct flaws and fixations and I personally like yandere types. It’s just unfortunate that the one explicit yandere in this game is KYLAR. I would like him more if not for the fact that he’s pretty fucking gross. Not quite reddit mod status, but totally the type of kid that would be on a watch-list. Amishmaxx-core but make it gothic with church condemnation, vampire parents, and all that edgelord shit = pussy repellent.
Sydney, Great Hawk, Black Wolf Honestly, I have very little interest or reaction to ANY of these characters. Sydney is not compelling to me primarily because I do not understand the draw of religion or the Great Hawk - too wholesome and isolated. Black Wolf - bro, getting gangbanged by their pack isn’t on my bucket-list. No offense, but if I wanted to sleep next to a bunch of sweaty animals in a fucking cave, I’d just hit up Eden.
Robin This bitch thinks PC is flat on their back multiple times a day PC’s hands look like this so Robin can squeeze some fucking lemons. Sorry, but I really can’t. I DO like to write Robin as a victim. Basically, that’s their entire purpose in my fics.
