- Al-Shairan (Excolo) ★★★★
- smells like cinnamon and fruit in the bottle; wet, it smells strongly & purely of cloves, but the orange and peach come out once it starts to dry, although they are blended so well it's hard to pick them apart; overall it's very dark but with a tinge of fruit.
- Frumious Bandersnatch (Mad Tea Party) ★★
- smells okay in the bottle, embarrassingly spicy/cinnamony when first put on skin, then turns rather soapy.
- The Hesperides (Bewitching Brews) ★
- very sharp and cool in the bottle, gets cooler but less sharp on the skin; becomes a good deal sweeter after a while, but loses its coolness and becomes a little buttery.
- Hurricane (Bewitching Brews) ★★
- disappointing; smells musty and dull in the bottle, too sharp and minty wet; however, gets a slightly sweet aquatic feel when dry.
- Jazz Funeral (Ars Moriendi) ★★★★★
- gorgeous in the bottle, gorgeous on the skin.
- Mania (Excolo) ★★
- I liked it better in the bottle than on my skin; it turned pretty fruity.
- Siren (Ars Amatoria) ★★★★★
- love it! Smells like jasmine with a tiny bit of vanilla; I could smell the ginger in the imp, but on me it didn't come out until much later, and I do not smell any apricot as of yet. doesn't last that long.
- Twinkle, Twinkle Little Bat (Mad Tea Party) ★★★★
- got this as a frimp. was originally unsure, as it smelled extremely, cloyingly sweet and melony in the vial, but after I put it on, a lot of the green tea and lime rind came out, as well as a bit of mint. It's still sweet, but in a nice amount.
- Black Dahlia (Sin and Salvation) ★★★★
- in the imp: lovely floral; not overpowering.
- wet: very, very strong flowers (I think mostly rose, with some jasmine) and some amber.
- dry: the amber has gone away, and now it's mostly rose; after a while there's a lemony smell too, which I guess is magnolia.
- Hellcat (Diabolus) ★★★★
- in the imp: very strong scent of buttery honey with a touch of rum.
- wet: first, it's so buttery and rich that it makes my throat start to close up. Then something spicy like cinnamon comes out.
- dry: loses most of the butteriness, thank god. It's lovely, gorgeous, sweet honey, with rum and a tiny bit of almond. It's quite foody, which I usually don't go for, but I like this.
- Kitsune-Tsuki (Diabolus) ★★★★★
- in the imp: absolutely gorgeous blend of florals (mostly jasmine, I think) and plum!
- wet: turns extremely flowery.
- dry: the scent of plum wafts up over the flowers. Gorgeous!
- Mag Mell (Wanderlust) ★★★
- in the imp: I smelled the sage first, but then the verbena overtook it; it's summery, yet somehow pleasantly cool.
- wet: verbena is still dominating, but I can also smell ginger; light and summery.
- dry: unfortunately, it just smells like vanilla when dry; I'm not a big fan of vanilla, and although this one doesn't bother me much, it's not what I would have wanted it to be.
- Moon Rose (Rappaccini's Garden) ★★★★
- in the imp: it does smell like rose, but less sweet due to something else layered over it, which I can't identify.
- wet: really rosy but not too sweet; I love it.
- dry: it's rose, but it's so, so, so faint. It's not really a smell anymore, but more of a feel.
- Szepasszony (Diabolus) ★★★
- in the imp: it's the scent I associate with cold water (love this scent), but with a touch of something warm & slightly sour hidden underneath.
- wet: smells lemony; actually I would say the watery scent is almost completely hidden by lemon. There's also a touch of something slightly bitter.
- dry: I'm so disappointed with this. It was one of the scents I most wanted to try ever since I first heard of bpal, but I can barely call it an aquatic. Mostly it smells of overripe lemons, and it's a much warmer, fruitier scent than I'd expected. Not unpleasant, but not what I wanted when I ordered this. Also doesn't last long at all.
- Gluttony (Sin & Salvation) ★
- in the (fr)imp: ew, buttercream, lots and lots of buttercream, with a bit of vanilla, neither of which I care for.
- wet: I was a little afraid to try this on because it smelled so buttery in the imp, but it's not as bad now. There's a really spicy scent, and vanilla beneath that.
- dry: Spiciness faded into the background, and now it's mostly sweet - vanilla and caramel, I think. Not as bad as it was in the imp, but I'm still not a fan.
- Prurience (Ars Amatoria) ★★★
- in the (fr)imp: the scent that I'm learning must be amber jumped out at me, then a bit of vetiver, which I haven't had good experiences with so far. To be honest I have never smelled most of the other things in this, so I don't know what I am smelling.
- wet: smelled purely of amber.
- dry: really burnt smell, with a sweet and powdery smell underneath. Surprisingly, I kind of like it.
