• Preschool: I went for about a month, but then my mom took me out because there were too many boys in my class.
  • Kindergarten: I didn't talk. At all. A lot of the kids would poke and prod me, trying to get a response out of me. For some reason, one girl thought I was a puppy.
  • First Grade: I missed a total of about seventy days of school because that was the year of my surgery. When I was in school, though, someone in my class would have to sit in the hallway with me during recess because I wasn't allowed to go outside. At the Christmas gift swap, I got a Goofy ornament instead of a toy and I cried for about an hour. A boy threw up on the teacher's shoes on Dr. Seuss' birthday.
  • Second Grade: I remember that a lot of the popular girls wanted to be friends with me because I had the biggest pack of crayons. You know, the one with the sharpener. I was on the receiving end of a lot headaches that year.
  • Third Grade: My teacher was obsessed with Aaron Carter. I got a hot pink diary from the gift swap at Christmas and wrote in it religiously. This was also the year I met Evan.
  • Fourth Grade: Nothing really sticks out about this year. I had two different teachers; the first told us she was leaving on the 100th day of school. I also remember walking through a giant cardboard cutout of a 100 and making a poster of "100 things".
  • Fifth Grade: I made it into the spelling bee, but lost on the word "cavity". We had Chinese Food on Chinese New Year and everyone came into our classroom because theirs had hair in it. We were all in a commercial for some bank and there was a bomb threat one day.
  • Sixth Grade: I seriously thought I was so ghetto. I spelt everything lyK th1z* and listened to rap. Shannon and I were inseparable. Some boy named Michael liked me, but then he went on house arrest and I never saw him again. We came in third place overall in some oh-so important soccer tournament and I was in the academic bowl.
  • Seventh Grade: I became very "punk". I listened to rock and became best friends with Marla and Sarah. I remember saying the phrase "Rock On" a lot and absolutely hating my Pre-Algebra teacher.
  • Eighth Grade: I became the nerd that I still partially am today. I got almost straight A+'s and came in 5th place in the spelling bee. I thought everyone was turning into a corrupt teenager. This was the year I became best friends with the infamous CiCi.
  • Ninth Grade: I made new friends and therefore thought I was extremely cool. Plus, I was in high school, so that /must/ have meant I was cool, right? I wore nothing but graphic t-shirts and shorts. I played my DS every single day and could not go a single minute without chatting with Evan.
  • Tenth Grade: This was my wrathful period. I never wanted to communicate with anyone, because I thought the whole world was filled with, in the words of Holden, "phonies". I became obsessed with art, particularly film and photography, and would take a walk every single day and try to capture the world. I was also mildly obsessed with Flickr.
  • Eleventh Grade: I'm just trying to live my life day by day. This has been, by far, one of the best years of my life.
