respiratory shift
- a woman with a tracheostoma and collar on to keep her breathing
- a man with a fresh stoma just minutes after surgery
- a woman who died of a cardiac dysrhythmia whose femoral pulses were still strong even moments after she officially died
- she was a breast cancer survivor!!
- a 60-year-old woman who had COPD after smoking for most of her life
- she was on CPAP and couldn't breathe without assistance from high-flow oxygen
- her father was with her; he was 84
emergency department
- my two intake nurses, chelsea and teresa, and charge nurse elaine, all of who were so helpful and encouraging
- several patients whose vital signs I took
- a cute guy with a broken arm who asked for my number (!!!) as I took his blood pressure (I didn't give it to him)
- a cute girl a bit older than me who couldn't stop shaking
- code heart, code stroke that wasn't a code stroke in the end, and two code sepsis
- several emts who wished me luck and "will pray" for me when I told them dinkel is my instructor
triage
- nurses stacy and cesar, and technician sheila (who was so amazingly sweet! she wanted to hug me when I left)
- vitals for several different patients, including:
- a little girl whose uncle works in jcmc who hit her head playing tee ball, an actual angel

- woman who came in for a pregnancy test; she has HIV
- blind woman with a limp who I had to walk to fast track
