This is why the world has been a nice place to be during these last 24 hours.

• Going to work to get my paycheck and buying some really loud obnoxious fuschia lipstick.
• Getting home and finding a really nice letter and check from Grandma Barbara.
• Going to Baja Burrito for tas-t munchin's with Dad, Madd, and Merrill
• Making a very spur of the moment decision to dye my hair.
• Listening to Pavement and having an epic sing-along to songs like "Cut Your Hair" and "Shady Lane" on the drive from Baja to Walgreens with Madd.
• The myriad of amazing and odd things in that Walgreens.
  • Like the evil clown mask that had an enormous curly red beard. And the mask of Satan wearing a trucker hat. And the bin of boxes of raisins and prunes with the sign that said "!!! 1$ DRIED FRUIT!!!!!!"
• Going home and listening to lots of good 90's music while Madd dyed my hair.
  • I dunno why, but I've been in a weird 90's obsession lately. I'm enjoying it though. That was just a very good era for music. And it was just a very badass time.
• Watching South Park while waiting for the dye set in.
  • I'm pretty sure Scott Tenorman Must Die is my new favorite episode.
    • Exhibit A: The Pube Fair
    • Exhibit B: "I will train this pony to bite off Scott Tenorman's weiner. And then he will be forever known as The Boy Who Got His Weiner Bitten Off By A Pony."
    • Exhibit C: Radiohead guesting and making fun of Scott Tenorman and calling him a crybaby.
    • Exhibit D: The Chili Con Carnival
• When I rinsed the dye out of my hair, there was all this red-brown water pouring down my body and I wound up pretending to be Vera Miles in the Pyscho shower scene. That was an entertaining 30 seconds.
• I am now a red-head.
• Watching some X-Men Origins with Maddy.
  • It was probably my least favorite of all the X-Men movies, but it was good.
• Having a dream that some nice rich bastard was hiding checks for $1000.00 around Downtown Franklin so I went and found like 2 or 3.
  • Waking up from that to find I was still in broke-world was kind of disappointing, but it was still a nice dream.
• Getting dressed and going to the grocery store with Madd and to get breakfast fixin's.
• And then we came home and made pumpkin spice pancakes and listened to that 90's mix.
  • GOOD LORD THOSE PANCAKES WERE AMAZING. BEST. BREAKFAST. EVER.
• Calling Grandma Madeira to say Happy Birthday.
• This conversation that just happened:
  • Lady Gaga comes up on shuffle
  • Maddy: "Ugh, I hate Lady Gaga! Some girls in my class put on that "Paparazzi" song when I was getting up to sharpen my pencil-"
  • Kate: "Ooh! Did you take your pencil and get all 'Oh, you like Lady Gaga do you? Let me show you this magic trick she taught me!' and then you take your pencil and you just do that Joker thing–BAM! 'Poker Face, eh? HOW BOUT I POKE YOUR FACE!'"
