BOOKS
- The Red Tent
- Like Water For Chocolate by Laura Esquivel
- Madness by Marya Hornbacher (2nd read...it's a great memoir)
- Song of Solomon - I didn't realize how great this book was till I got to the end. "If you surrender to the wind, you can ride it."
- The Awakening- Kate Chopin. (This is a really lovely Victorian novel...I read for my Women's Lit class & it has beautiful imagery. =)
- The Piano- I love this book so much...I'm glad I bought it, because I wrote all over the margins & underlined things. It's beautiful, read it. =)
- The Woman Warrior- some parts I loved, some parts I didn't. But what's so great about this is that it caused so much contreversy, because no one wanted to call it an autobiography because she made myths a part of her history. I can't explain it, but there are parts of this that are just beatifully written.
- The Secret Life of Bees- I LOVE THIS. SO MUCH.
- Deception Point, by Dan Brown. Good. Probably not as good as the Davinci Code, but good.
- Intruders, by Budd Hopkins. I read this when I was 12 & it scared the shit out of me then. I don't know why I thought it wouldn't scare the crap out of me now, BECAUSE IT"S TERRIFYING!!
- Missing Time, by Budd Hopkins. I don't know why I did this to myself. I knew it would scare me. Oh well.
- The Wasteland, by Francesca Lia Block. I've read this about 15 times since I first bought it, but I still really love it.
- The Bone Man's Daughters, by Ted Dekker. good story line.
- Amy & Isabelle. Liked it.
- His Secret Little Wife.
- Atonement, by Ian McEwan. Awesome.
- Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistlestop Cafe. SO GOOD!!! READ IT!! I don't know if any other book made me cry so much. It's beautiful.
- Harry Potter 6&7-rereads.
- My Sweet Audrina-another re-read. I love this book, even if it is, at times, cheesy.
- The Time Traveler's Wife. So good. Even if you thought the movie looked like a chick flick, remember that the book is ALWAYS better, and this book is great.
