• Be a nice human: Be kind to strangers. Don’t do it for the pay offs (a.k.a. 50% off your art supplies or free coffee). But be kind simply because you never know what’s going on in that persons life and you never know how much of an impact your simple gestures can make. Be more understanding of the actions of others. Instead of being angry, try to understand the complexities of the people around you and try not to add to that complexity in a negative way. Don’t talk bad about others. It’s okay to vent, but don’t let negativity consume your mind and conversations like a virus. Instead take more notice in good traits, find the beauty in everyone, because everyone has it.
  • Feel beautiful: Do what feels good. Eat the foods you want. Make healthy choices, but forgive yourself for giving into cravings. Cravings feel good. Healthy feels good. Don’t stop doing what feels good. Run and dance and sweat and swim. Soak up the sun. Get dirty. Dress how you want. Dress in whatever makes you feel beautiful. Do your makeup. Don’t do your makeup. Grow your hair and nails, but chop it all off when you need change. Smile. But let yourself breakdown. It’s okay to want to lay in bed all day. It’s okay to cry.
  • Never stop learning: Bring a book. Stick it in your tote. Go to that park you drove by the other day. Take pictures. You wanted a picture to remember this moment and now you’ll never forget. Take that ceramics class even if you’re afraid you’ll be horrible. You’ll never know if you never try. At the very least you’ll make 20 pinch pots and meet interesting people in the process. Don’t be afraid to explore alone. Take that hiking opportunity through New Mexico if you have the chance, I promise you’ll still be regretting not doing it three years later. Go to Italy and make sure you don’t make the same mistake
