Honestly? Not bad.

Hiroki Dan, our main protagonist, is a murderous investigator. He kills those in the wrong on the cases he works with, basically. Not a bad premise.

But sometimes it does feel a little like a gorefest. Like, there isn't much of a buildup. We don't see Hiroki digging around for his victims information, he just kind pops up and we the audience just assume that yeah he somehow found this guys location.

I kinda wanna see more. I know that with him being a detective, it's easy for him to find the status of his victims, but sometimes his victims aren't even in jail or prison. They just be about and about sometimes, maybe in hiding. I wanna see Hiroki HUNTING DOWN these men.

I guess it does work for him. He doesn't seem.... human. In my head as I'm writing this, I'm taking into account all the other "investigative" animes I've watched like Mononoke 2007 and Moriarity. With mononoke it works not knowing how he gets his info because we the audience are really just not supposed to know, because Kusuriuri is supposed to be a sort of enigma. Mononoke 2007 is a supernatural anime after all. For Moriarity, it's better knowing because that's what goes well with the plot; he's a mathematician, he's smart. It's good to know his thinking process.

So I guess to each their own!! I actually liked this manga. Criminals that the law can't judge deserve the finest death.
