Honestly? Not bad.

Hiroki Dan, our main protagonist, is a murderous investigator. He kills those in the wrong on the cases he works with, basically. Not a bad premise.

But sometimes it does feel a little like a gorefest. Like, there isn't much of a buildup. We don't see Hiroki digging around for his victims information, he just kind pops up and we the audience just assume that yeah he somehow found this guys location.

I kinda wanna see more. I know that with him being a detective, it's easy for him to find the status of his victims, but sometimes his victims aren't even in jail or prison. They just be about and about sometimes, maybe in hiding. I wanna see Hiroki HUNTING DOWN these men.

Oh. Oh, crazy insane jealous panic. So far, I love beastars. It's so corny but in a way that has you reacting so viscerally to everything and I think that already is an achievement by everyone on the beastars team.

it's very heavy on the "To deny your instincts is to deny yourself" trope, and everybody knows how much i love that trope, because of how much it reminds me of vampirism . Yes, I think that beastars might have been less shamed on if it were a vampire anime instead of an anthropomorphic animal anime. Does that mean I hate the anime? No. Not even close .

It's like... yeah... learn to live around your instincts. It's about learning to live with who you are, your identity, and Legoshi has been running from that so lon..._that_ .

Saw it at the bookstore and decided to get it on a whim cause what the hell, it's my birthday + omg vampires!!

The part where the vampire main character kept eating out his gf despite her period threw me off (It could have been good if it was written right imo) but the writing in general was mostly okay.

When I got to that part, I immediately searched up Jay Kristoffs name and all I saw was controversy after controversy. Idk about you but I cannot finish a book knowing the creator is problematic.

You can say this is hypocritical since I like beastars but idk.. maybe it's because I dropped it too early? Maybe it's cause beastars isn't centered around the fucking SEX....

Such a painful read. It felt like draggin...
