- differences in opinion about drugs and alcohol CANNOT be changed and do not work together

- there is a difference between a physical relationship and an emotional one
- just because there is a physical connection does not necessarily mean there is an emotional one, and vice versa
- if you aren't comfortable acting the way you would alone in front of your friends, it isn't meant to be
- if you spend all your time thinking of how this person could change, it probably won't work out
- vastly different maturity levels do not mesh well
- long distance relationships are only successful if both people are committed to making it work
- third time isn't always the charm
- some people don't deserve second chances. or third. or fourth. others do.
- best friends rarely make a good couple
- in a relationship, you need stability. if the person you're dating is constantly putting your sanity and mental health at risk, it's time to say goodbye.
