• Windmill: Skater's arms wave in circles in an effort to keep the skater from falling.
  • Swimmer: Skater pulls self along with shoulders and arms.
  • Cling: Skater clings to another skater of roughly the same size, spreads legs, and expects to be pulled along.
  • Monkey: Small child on skates dangles from parent's arm.
    • Tree: The adult supporting one or more monkeys.
  • Wheeled crab: New skater falls backward and tries to get up by pushing with arms while skates continue to slide forward, putting the skater in a crab position; the crab scoots along until someone helps it up.
  • Slow-mo shuffle: One foot slides an inch, now the other foot, now the first foot, as if the skater is in slow motion; neither foot ever leaves the floor.
  • Runner: Skater forgets that skates are supposed to roll and runs instead.
  • Scooter: Skater stands on one foot and pushes off with the other.
  • Scarecrow: Skater forgets that knees are supposed to bend.
  • Distressed swimmer: Skater flails arms over head in an effort to keep from falling. (AKA: Branches in the wind)
  • Drunken boxer: Skater punches wildly with arms and staggers forward on skates.
  • Starfish: Skater holds arms outstretched and legs far apart; the limbs and the head make the five points of the starfish.
  • Stomper: Skater stomps around the floor instead of rolling and makes loud CLOMP CLOMP sounds. (AKA: Boots)
  • Barnacle: Skater clings to the wall or railing with both hands.
  • Duck tail: Skater bends forward at the waist and sticks rear end out and up, like the perky tail of a duck.
