this has been a slow movie month....been real busy!

• red river - first john wayne cowboy movie ever! very silly.
• breathless (1960) - seriously put me to sleep. I so wanted to be inspired because I love Truffaut and he wrote the screenplay, but no. It was not to be.
• mamma mia! - such a cheese-fest. in any event, I love abba so I couldn't help loving it anyway.
• the dark knight - so worth the hype!
• wings of desire - it's been a long time since I last saw this one. Beautiful, wistful meditation on being human, being lonely and finding your perfect match. Also, there's a circus! all set in berlin which is lovely.
• gonzo: the life and work of dr. hunter s. thompson - I'm not a huge HST fan, but this doc was well made and inspired me to pick up Fear & Loathing on the Campaign Trail.
