netflix, cable and theatre
- Wall-E: thought-provoking, romantic and educational all in one
- The T.A.M.I. Show - James Brown, rolling stones and smokey Robinson & the miracles were highlights
- l'auberge espagnole - kind of a trifle but still entertaining, especially if you've ever spent time abroad.
- wanted - I wanted to be over the moon about this one but was kind of disappointed. The most believable things about it was angelina jolie as an assassin. 100% bought it.
- shampoo - don't know how I managed to miss this one all these years. loved it.
- the incredible hulk - I didn't HATE it
- roman polanski: wanted and desired - I knew the story before I saw this documentary. Well-made and even-handed.
- the history boys - I REALLY wanted to love it because I pretty much adore any film that romanticizes learning/teaching/teachers. Instead it was just mildly diverting.
- wild strawberries-beautiful meditation on aging and how it's never too late to become a better person
- performance (cemetery movie) - freak fest with mick jagger and anita pallenberg (whose style I'm now obsessed with)
- sex and the city-any fan won't be disappointed. I loved that the film mostly kept the focus on the women's friendships. and oh, the clothes did not disappoint!
- dans paris - crazy good soundtrack and a beautiful boy. lovely story about family. made me want to go on a french cinema bender so I think I will
- georgia rule - oh...just awful. really, really bad.
