- black, white & grey - kind of disappointing for a film about a photographer
- deep water - good documentary on hubris and what can happen when you refuse to admit defeat
- show business: the road to broadway-okay, but I was hoping for more emotion. Found it a little dry.
- forgetting sarah marshall-jason segal can write! I liked it a lot.

- starter for 10-only worth seeing if you have a huge james mcavoy crush (which I do)
- romance and cigarettes - thought it might be too over-the-top a la moulin rouge. Instead, it was utterly forgettable
- shine a light-was prepared to scoff a little at the creaky old stones (I will always be a beatles girl), but the cinematography and band energy caused me to revise my opinion. Plus, Jack White seems so earnestly excited and giddy to be playing with them - it was infectious. Almost made me want to see them live.
- volver-I am always impressed with almodovar but this is my second favorite of his, after talk to her
- my kid could paint that (documentary)-really raised some good questions about the value of abstract art as well as parenting
- stop-loss: I went in open-minded but not expecting much, was terribly affected. haven't seen many iraq war movies. this one was quietly devastating.
