My daughter Mary leaves her beloved England in just a few short hours to return to Canada. She and her love Jon must endure a physical separation until all things are in order for them to be forever side by side. My heart is heavy for them but I know they will endure. So here, I want to post one thing I did each day to make life count. In honor of them - and their love. Life is so precious... Love is so beautiful. Their story inspires me every day. And we should all make it count. Build memories. Be kind. Spread joy. Help someone. Lift someone. Look in the mirror and love who you see.

  • Thursday 10/1 - taking some extra time with a elderly customer who couldn't hear well.

  • Monday 9/28 -- making it count today by letting my heart be a little lighter here at home.
  • Sunday 9/27 - made it count by letting myself just take a day off!

  • Friday 9/25 - made it count today by surprising my son with some birthday presents from his little girl <3
  • Thursday 9/24 - to make it count today -- prayers as daily for my loved ones
  • Wednesday 9/23 - ran some cash down to a dear family member to make tomorrow easier for another family member <3
  • Tuesday 9/22 - making it count by delivering two baskets of dried laundry to a wonderful young mother who happens to be my daughter.
  • Monday 9/21 -- shedding tears while someone I loved cried...wishing I could help more.
  • Sunday 9/20 -- Making it Count today -- something as simple for me as updating my blog.
  • Saturday 9/19 -- not that I wouldn't have done it regardless, but sitting beside my daughter Susan in the emergency room - and being grateful that I was able to be there with her.
  • Friday 9/18 -- not sure of anything specific today - other than giving a smile and good attitude to each customer I had at work.
  • Thursday 9/17 - making it count today...sharing some of the blogs I read on WH Twitter. Getting the word out. Blog reading is a wonderful thing.
  • Wednesday 9/16 - To make it count today - I upped my presence on WH's twitter - and will offer a hand made give-a-way this weekend.
  • Tuesday 9/15 - Making it count today - still sick but worked on some lovely crochet bookmarks for two new friends.
  • Monday 9/14 - Making it count today - sick day for me but used some time to visit some other wonderful blogs - leave some comments and make new friends.
  • Sunday 9/13 - Making it count today - to make a resolution to myself to be more accepting and less judge less... let it go.
  • Saturday 9/12 - Making it count today - a wonderful shopping trip with my youngest daughter, Rebecca. Pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks was awesome too.
  • Friday 9/11 - Making it count today - nothing specific. Just tried to keep a good attitude with everyone and keep my reactions in check.
  • Thursday 9/10 - Making it count today by helping my son solve a problem of a lost tablet and try to resolve any security issues.
  • Wednesday 9/9 -- Going to my granddaughter Lilys elementary school at lunchtime and eating lunch with her and a table full of other first graders. Listening to the giggles, the laughter, the innocence. Yes, that made it count for me today.
  • Tuesday 9/8 -- To make it count today - I delayed my lunch to help in a very busy office. Not wanting any praise - I just acknowledge myself when I do what's best for all and not just me.
  • Monday 9/7 - To make it count today - realization hit me over spiritual help, signs and messages. On my knees in gratefulness over this. How I made it count.... I listened and I opened my heart and I understood.
  • Sunday 9/6- To make it count today -- a clerk at a store accidentally charged me for two of a rather expensive item.. and realized it after I had swiped my debit card. He was extremely upset and seemed to have no idea how to fix this... there was a long line behind me and I said.. I'll just take both of them. It's okay really. I will use it. And he smiled and said thank you. And I thought, no, thank you. It feels so much better to handle a situation with kindness.
