• evaluate what you have already: do you have things that already fulfill the same purpose?
  • unsubscribe from e-mail
  • purchase strategically and allow time to think about it- have a time delay between when you realize you wnat/need it to when you buy it.
  • understand why you want to purchase something- to feel good or because it will contribute to your life in a good way and because you need it?

Don't add clutter to your life.

Saving money

  • stop buying anything throughout the house (makeup, candles, cleaning products) until I have used what I have.
  • if you don't have the money, don't buy it. if you can't afford it, save up for it.
  • stop eating out (mostly) Be aware of where you're spending money.
  • replace browsing with other activities, ESPECIALLY ONLINE. Only look when you have something specific in mind. Don't do it just to kill time.
  • buy quality instead of the cheapest price, so you only have to buy it once.
  • buy reusable instead of disposable. make what you can. Food- no prepackaged meals. Car repairs.
  • multi-use furniture
  • multi-use cleaning products (Dr. Bronner's Castille Soap)
