• look into my eyes (ruby redfort #1) by lauren child (2011) (★★★☆☆)
    • when i was younger, i saw the cover for this book and was intrigued, but i never got around to reading it until much later. it was an entertaining book to read with a wide range of interesting characters, yet still being distinctly different from each other.
  • honey bunny! by ryou ikuemi (2000) (★★★☆☆)
    • being an older manga, the art style deterred me a bit, but i pushed myself to finish reading it.
  • godzilla: oblivion by joshua hale fialkov (2016) (★☆☆☆☆)
    • i was so distracted by the fact that this would be my first godzilla comic book that i didn't care to read the description. and honestly, i kind of regret picking it up, because it was just..... so so boring and had a lot of technobabble that i didn't care much for.
  • the x-files: case files -- hoot goes there? by joe r. lansdale, keith lansdale, silvia califano (illustrator) (2018) (★★★☆☆)
    • a quick, interesting read! despite its shortness, it's just as strange and quirky as the canon series. :-)
  • raven: daughter of darkness, volume 1 by marv wolfman and pop mhan (2018) (★★★☆☆)
    • i thought it was okay for the start of the series. not the raven that i'm used to, but it's nice to see a fresh face. i wasn't as emotionally interested in it though, since it was a bit plain.
  • the fox girl and the white gazelle by victoria williamson (2018) (★★★☆☆)
    • i think for the age group of this book's intended audience, it was pretty good. i wish more of the main characters' histories were expanded a little bit more, but i thought it was an enjoyable read. :-)
  • swarm of bees by lemony snicket (2019) (★★★☆☆)
    • cute book that i brought for my baby-sitting session! sweet and simple, and the illustrations were adorable.
