- Cats
- Tiger Lily (2004-present)
- The single most beautiful cat ever to grace the earth, despite her crooked tail (thanks to a break before her birth) and a marking that I'm told looks like a curry stain on her nose. Tortoiseshell and white. I am a self-confessed crazy cat lady. I sleep with her, I towel dry her when it rains, I sometimes even feed her yoghurt from a spoon. I know what you're thinking. You're probably right. I LOVE HER.
- Tommy (2004-present)
- Otherwise known as Fat Friend, Fat One, or Fatty Lumpkin. White mixed with very dark brown and grey tabby. Not actually obese or anything, but he's a tonne weight and doesn't help you along either by just hanging in your arms. His twin, my darling TL holds on and is as light as a feather. Furthermore, he is sly and grouchy.
- Shadow (2003-2006) [owned - died Jan. 2009]
- My first cat. Black, oddly enough. Our relationship began when I rescued him from a then cat-hating Tara. They soon learned to love each other and Shadow, a stray, started to spend all his time at home, bringing with him my second cat, Ginny. Regularly brought us gifts of mice and rats, unlike Fat Friend, who summons us only to watch him glomp them down, and my dear TL, who is too petite to catch rats and sticks to small mice and shrews. Shadow was stolen by my absolute hag of a neighbour, who renamed him Segundo ("it means Second in Spanish, you know"). The wench has tried to do the same with T and TL, but without success. Saw a dead cat on my road earlier this year which I'm almost positive was him. RIP
- Ginny (2003-2005)
- We never found out if Ginny was actually male or female. Had the most bizarre miaow I have ever heard, alternating between a sort of frog noise and telephone-like noisy purr. She was known as Gino when we suspected she was a he. A lovely ginger tabby stray with a dent in her side from when she was attacked by the dog down the road, which left her nervous of almost everything. So when TL came along and tried to kick the two out, it was all too easy for the hag to snatch them from me. Hag.
