  • Lovelace: This movie was surprisingly very serious and very sad. It is a good story, and Amanda Seyfried is very good here. I really liked the way they told the same story from two different perspectives. It is a very unique choice. I won't spoil anything, but this is a very intense movie and definitely not one to watch if you and your girlfriends are looking for a "fun movie about a porn star".
  • The Heat: This movie is very funny. Melissa McCarthy has some lines that will have you peeing your pants. Additionally, this movie is not just a comedy, it also has a good plot and a surprising ending. Pairing Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy together was definitely a risky choice, but I think it paid off.
  • Hot Rod: This is a funny, cute, movie that is fluffy and doesn't really have much to it. Truthfully I don't really remember...

  • The Last Song: This book had potential to be a good movie, but the screenwriting is too flat and cliche to allow this characters to be any more one dimensional than they already are.
  • People Like Us: This movie is largely forgettable, while still emotional and thought provoking. It does have one funny line that had me almost in tears, but other than that it is strictly a drama. It is predictable, but still likable.
  • The Help: I was very excited for this movie because I loved this book, and I have to say, this movie was worth it. The cast is amazing, and everyone has at least one starring moment. The screenwriting could use a little work, but overall, this is a faithful, heartfelt, and funny adaptation.
  • Pitch Perfect: This is a very quotable movie. It's funny, and an honest representa...

  • The Lovely Bones: I loved this book, so I was pretty excited when I found out that there was a movie. I think Saoirse Ronan was a very good choice for Susie. She had that quiet, likable, personality down. Stanley Tucci was the perfect villain, and all of his scenes were very creepy and had me thinking that I might need to spend the night in my parents' room. The casting choices were very good, and overall I think the movie was a good adaptation.
  • The Hunger Games: Catching Fire: I will be honest, I didn't have high expectations for this movie because I didn't love the first one. However, I was so wrong. This movie was suspenseful, funny, and very real. Jennifer Lawrence is undeniably a wonderful actress, and her portrayal of Katniss makes Katniss relatable, funny, brave, and overall, doing what she has to do. The rest of the cast was also phenomenal...
