- Beauty and the Beast- when the Beast won't let Belle say goodbye to her father/when the Beast almost dies and Belle lays out over him and professes her love
- All I Want for Christmas- Ethan watches the home videos of his parents with the "All I Want" song playing in the background and during Ethan's speech about trying to get his parents back together at the end
- A Walk to Remember- Landon hugs his father whom he barely speaks to after he has gotten Jaimie good doctors; Landon is crying intensely after driving a long way to see his father
- The Secret Garden- when Colin starts walking towards everyone swinging his father's cane/when he first finds him during hide and seek/when Mary runs away screaming "No one wants me."
- Angels in the Outfield- When Roger finds out Mel's going to die and he's crying but he waves his arms in the angel motion to make him think there's an angel with him and the whole baseball stadium stands up and does it at the same time- it's very powerful
- The Baby-Sitter's Club Movie- Kristy's dad abandons her at the park
- The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2- when Tibby drove to see Carmen and they both get sad because Tibby hadn't been talking to Carmen and Carmen only described Tibby to her friend as the "girl who worked at the video store" Amber Tamblyn was heartbreaking in this scene; also the scene where Lena sees Kostas again and walks away from him crying
- Finding Forrester- reading Jamal's piece about finding family/the end when Jamal says "Just can't watch the eyes this time" to Fly after William has died and they're playing basketball with "Over the Rainbow"by Israel Kamakwiwo'ole playing in the background
- Guess Who's Coming to Dinner- Spencer Tracy makes the speech about his love for his wife
- It's a Wonderful Life- the end when he realizes how much he loves his family
- My Girl- When Vada's dad tells her Thomas J has died and she goes to the Dr. saying she's suffocating because of the bee stings; Thomas J's funeral and the aftermath with Vada going to see Mr. Bixler and hanging out in the willow tree all afternoon/her poem at the end
- Life is Beautiful- when the little boy and his mother are reunited and the last scene with his father
- The Pursuit of Happyness- sitting with his son in the bathroom the first night of their homelessness/the end when he gets the job after all his trials
- The King and I- The death of the king prompts this exchange between Anna and her son-Louis:Was he as good a King as he could have been? Anna:I don't think any man has ever been as good a King as he could have been. But this one tried, he tried very hard.

- Titanic- Thanks to Laura I remember I always cry when Rose is going down in the lifeboat and the flares are going off behind Jack's head and she can't leave without him and jumps off the boat onto the side and he says, "You are so stupid Rose!" and pulls her close against him while "Unwilling to Stay, Unwilling to Leave" plays; the montage of all the people who couldn't get out like the hugging old people and the mother reading to her two children

- Aladdin- when he's mean to everyone including Abu and when he sings the "Riff raff street rat" song
- Singin' in the Rain- During the song "You are my Lucky Star"- their love is so beautiful
- Pride & Prejudice 2005- Mr. Darcy starts walking through the mist towards Elizabeth and they will finally be together

- Brian's Song- when Gale Sayers makes his speech saying "I love Brian Piccolo."

- Pollyanna- "What she really needed was love and that's something I never gave her."-Aunt Polly to Dr. Chilton after she's been paralyzed
- Independence Day- President's wife dies/Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum are saved and come striding back to their lady loves
- Fiddler on the Roof- Tevye won't talk to his daughter who married the non Jewish man
- Spiderman- Uncle Ben dies
- Ice Princess- her mother shows up at her performance
- Sweet Home Alabama- scene in the cemetery where she talks to Jake about the relief she felt after her miscarriage and how she was sorry for leaving Jake's dog Bear who would have wondered what he had done wrong
- Akeelah and the Bee- Dr. Larrabee tells Akeelah he's going to stop coaching her and she can't figure out why he's abandoning her even though he says he can't teach her anything else; the end when Dylan and Akeelah both win because they spell all the championship words-these inspirational movies get me every time
- Meet Me in St. Louis- Esther sings "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" to Tootie when they think they're going to have to move and Tootie knocks all the snowmen's heads off
- Home Alone- Kevin's mom comes home; the old man who lives next door reuinites with his son and grandchild
- A Little Princess (1995)- The mother and her three children including a baby are trying to sell day old flowers and everyone is ignoring them, but Sara gives them her cinnamon roll she just bought with some money a random child gave her; Sara's dad remembers her and runs out into the rain and picks her up when the police are carrying her away
- Valentine's Day- George Lopez's character tells Reed how love is devastation and says he made it right because he married his best friend; the older couple resolves their argument at the park and say they know loving each other means loving all of them even the bad parts
- The Color Purple- Mr. separates Nettie and Celie and they do the "me and you must never part makidada" hand clapping in the air while looking at each other over the fence; when Shug brings Nettie's letter to Celie
- The King's Speech- the end when he succeeds in reading his speech; when he says he can't be a king and his wife comforts him
- Something Borrowed- Rachel is telling Darcy what she should say in her vows to Dex, and says that living without him was unimaginable, unbearable.
- Never Let Me Go- Tommy makes Kathy stop the car so he can scream after finding out deferrals do not exist; Kathy holds Tommy while he's screaming
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2- Snape's love of Lily is portrayed; Harry is about to die and he talks to his family that was brought back by the Resurrection Stone
