I do not like the cold. Not even a little. And I'm kind of meh on the whole winter thing. So, I'm curious as to what I do actually like about this season
- the christmas decorations: they're really my favorite part of this time. I mean, gifts are groovy, but I love seeing stores all decorated and seeing all of the interesting ornaments in Target. I especially like unorthodox and tacky decorations. Bright colors. I saw a peacock, it made me happy. And disco balls too.
- hot chocolate: of the Starbucks, over-priced but pepperminty variety. Mmmm.
- central heating: 'nuff said
- christmas break: for those of you who are not lucky enough to be apart of the American education system, I'll break it down: they give us an ungodly ammount of time off, usually separated by a few days here and there [during Thanksgiving time] and then like... a year for Christmas. 'Tis pretty sweet.
- a break from marching band: I'm as much a nerd as the next, but, yeah, a break from running around the field is good. I don't do marching in the cold.
- pep band: We play for all of the basketball games [and when I say all, I ain't lyin'] and it's like... a party really. All of my friends stay after school the entire day, and we wreak general forms of mayhem while paying ungodly ammounts of money for food, and then during the game, we blast our little hearts out and sing and generally act like goofs, and then we go home and shleep. All of the crazy stuff happends during pep band season.
- there's a general feeling of... "I don't hate everyone right now" in the air. It's nice.
Heh... I love how the paragraph for Pep Band is bigger then the rest of the list.
