I do not like the cold. Not even a little. And I'm kind of meh on the whole winter thing. So, I'm curious as to what I do actually like about this season
- the christmas decorations: they're really my favorite part of this time. I mean, gifts are groovy, but I love seeing stores all decorated and seeing all of the interesting ornaments in Target. I especially like unorthodox and tacky decorations. Bright colors. I saw a peacock, it made me happy. And disco balls too.
- hot chocolate: of the Starbucks, over-priced but pepperminty variety. Mmmm.
- central heating: 'nuff said
- christmas break: for those of you who are not lucky enough to be apart of the American education system, I'll break it down: they give us an ungodly ammount of time off, usually separated by a few days here and there [during Thanksgiving time] an...

- Lights that envoke head-spinning highs and eyes that can't see properly
- An almost sleepy, subtle existence past the strip
- Horror stories about Fright Dome, which, apparently isn't that frightening at all
- Drifting around, looking for the one place that actually allows children
- Stalking arcades and shopping malls and the park, for they are the only place that allow children
- Curious people
- Really good food...
- Fighting for an education
- Being scared that a loved one will be shot one day
- Flashing lights and glamor

- ramen- the authentic, Chinese kind with packaging you can't read. Especially mushroom ramen with an egg...
- chocolate- I'm such a girl, but chocolate makes me happy inside. Part of the reason why it's my chosen moniker. Give me a hershey bar, a mint three musketeer, a cup of hot cocoa, a chocolate dipped waffle cone, oreos, anything with even a hint of chocolate, and I'm on happy planet
- sushi- I've been eating seafood since I had the teeth to chew it, and sushi has always been one of my favorites. A few bites of tuna sashimi, and the world is good.
- chicken nuggets- They're really the only fast food I like, but, when they're done right... yum. Especially when they're dunked in ranch and served with crinkle cut fries.
- cupcakes- I'll even eat vanilla ones. I d...

The yearbook people were harassing us in woodwind period for quotes for the yearbook. The question [shocking and original]: why are you in band? But, it got me thinking. Why do I do this?
- music is sometimes the only thing keeping me going
- you can get away with saying the stupidest things ever recorded
- "shiny-keys" momments
- when you've just given your all, and the crowd goes nuts and that defeaning roar that goes straight to your heart...
- you can be a total nerd and you're excused for it
- you're lumped together with some of the best people on planet earth
- like... 5,000 upper-classmen to back you up at any moment
- oh, the inside jokes [and you just lost the game]

- a library. a giant, giant library. the kind sherlock holmes would have, filled with more books than I would have the time to read. Bibles would be on the fiction shelf.
- a full-service kitchen and a walk-in pantry, filled with food that costs more than my house payments. The walls would be Robbin's Egg blue.
- mod furniture. a '70s timewarp sort of aesthetic.
- giant windows with plenty of natural light.
- a spiral staircase.
