So I'm thinking of making a new blog in addition to my Things I Love Thursday blog. It'll just be me musing on topics and writing out my opinions. I tend to have wishy-washy opinions so that I don't offend anyone, but I'm going to attempt to make firm decisions on this blog, weighing the pros and cons of each topic.

At this point, I don't own a car. During the summer I use my parents and pay for my own gas. My grades keep my insurance low (so in a way I'm working for that, haha.) However, during the school year, living in DC, I don't have a car at all. Parking in DC, especially Georgetown with its narrow cobbled streets and random-ass slopes and hills, is a joke. I use the metro, city bus, and campus bus system, plus the best system of all- walking. So here are the reasons why I don't want a car and how it'll help me. This is all assuming I love in/near a big city with access to its' public transportation.

I don't get why people complain about Lau. It's not perfect, sure, but it's seriously close. What more could you want in a library? It's got a built in coffee shop, books, study places, and is open nearly 24/7.

I will never make my parents coffee every morning. I will not have to do tons of dishes in ratio to the very few I actually use. I will go for jogs in the morning without being told I can't go outside. I will be able to read whatever I want. I won't be forced to go to church if I prefer to do so my own way at home. I'll listen to whatever music I want without getting criticized or scorned. I will wear whatever I want, even if it looks 'dumpy' because sometimes I just don't care. I will be able to make my desktop background whatever I want. I'll be able to hang out with friends without having to confirm it every day until the actual hanging-out. I'm more involved in stuff this year, more prestigious stuff as well. I am playing music, so I can say I can play an instrument! I am in an loving, satisfying, friendly relationship. I have a ton more friends. I believe I'm more mature than I was last year, and will be a very different person by the end. I'm not getting as many headaches. Contacts! :D Even though I've had them since last semester. I'm not afraid to wear pretty stuff now. XD I'm a more confident person. I've learned to let things go- little or big. I've learning to analyze people better, and realize that the only color between good and bad is gray. nov 24 2008 ∞nov 24 2008 +
