  • American Gods by Neil Gaiman ★★★★☆ - it took me a bit to get into it, but it was so worth it
  • The Magicians by Lev Grossman ★★★★☆ - grossman manages to make SO MUCH happen throughout the book but it never gets confusing or tiring. on a side note, quentin is a pain in the ass, Alice is the greatest character ever
  • The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah ★★★★☆ - i love anything world war II related + this book made me tear quite a bit, it's a beautiful story of resilience, love and surviving in the most challenging circumstances. just amazing.
  • I'll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson ★★★★★ - added to my "books i'd take to a desert island" list. absolutely fantastic, i don't know how to put into words just how beautiful and wonderful this book is, probably one of the best books i'll read this year
  • Geography Club by Brent Hartinger ★★★☆☆ - it's kind of a LGBT YA classic, so i had to read it and i enjoyed it, even though i was a bit upset by the ending (even though it made sense). it wasn't the best book I've ever read, but it was quite enjoyable and at times i couldn't put it down
  • P.S.: I Still Love You by Jenny Han ★★★★★ - lara jean is one of my favorite characters ever, the ending was a bit different than i expected and it made me really excited for the next book
  • I Like Him, He Likes Her by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor ★★★★★ - the alice collection is so underrated!!!!! I love alice, elizabeth, pamela, gwen, patrick... the entire gang. this series warms my heart and is a great read.
  • Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz ★★★★★ - i have a new favorite book like HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!!!!! this book is absolutely amazing, so so so so beautiful and heartwarming, just exceptional. i love how everything is kinda okay in the end cause even though in life things most of the times aren't okay, sometimes people are lucky to have everything go right for them and yeah, it was an amazing read
  • Endless Night by Agatha Christie ★★★☆☆ - it took me a bit to get into it, but the plot twist had me staring into my wall in shock for a good five minutes. not the best agatha christie book, but it was still enjoyable
  • By the Pricking of my Thumbs by Agatha Christie ★★★★★ - literally could not stop reading this one, it was fantastic
  • Passenger to Frankfurt by Agatha Christie ★☆☆☆☆ - maybe it was just me but i just couldn't get into this book and i dreaded reading it, i was quite relieved when i was finally done with it
  • Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare ★★★★★ - WHAT AN AMAZING BOOK! i literally could not put it down, it was action packed, all the characters were fucking amazing and the plot twist at the end holy fucking shit!!!!! my only complaint is that one death, it still hurts a lot
  • We Were Liars by E. Lockhart ★★★★☆ - i really didn't see that plot twist coming like holy fucking shit!!!! anyways, this was a really fast read, but i kinda wish the characters and their backstories had been more thoroughly developed
  • Lover Enshrined by J.R. Ward ★★★★★ - spectacular! most people seem to have not enjoyed this one as much but i loved it! i really felt for phury and i loved seeing his relationship with cormia develop. plus that whole thing about lash + the daughter thing had me like OH MY FUCKING GOD!
  • It by Stephen King ★★★★★ - i had never read anything by stephen king and now i get the hype. this was the longest book i've ever read but it never felt tiring, i always wanted to keep going. i can't recommend this one enough

  • Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur ★★★★☆ - this was the first poetry book i've read and it was absolutely fantastic, so emotional and so beautiful, it didn't get five stars simply because i'm not too keen on emotionally heavy relationship related topics and this books was full of those, they were still great, they just didn't appeal to me
  • Murder in the Orient Express by Agatha Christie ★★★★★ - So good!!!! it was the first hercule poirot story i read and it was amazing, i'm definitely reading more
  • It's Not Like I Planned It This Way by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor ★★★★★ - i'll repeat it until my dying day: the alice collection books are so underrated
  • Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han ★★★★★ - such a fantastic ending to a fantastic series. it's quite rare for me to love all characters in a book but i did in this one. pure awesomeness and perfection
  • The Sun and her Flowers by Rupi Kaur ★★★★★ - while milk and honey was very much focused on relationships, this one explored different topics and it was fantastic. the poems about family, feminism, loveing yourself and immigration had me in tears
