• arielle - my partner in crime! i can't even count the times arielle and i have gone out in short dresses to drink/party the night away or power hour'ed, just the two of us - in sickness & in health. she is my wingman and my beer pong partner and we have lost a lot of games together and shared many an embarrassing moment doing so. she lives in the moment at all times and she is absolutely fearless. i've slept on her floor hungover to watch movies and cried in her room when i was bitching about men and she always makes me feel like i'm a badass who can do anything. we have rapped together and danced on bars & computer tables in the library together and snuck into places we weren't supposed to be. we always have so much fun and this year i am determined to surprise drunk people with her.
• aryn - there has never been a time when aryn has not been there for me. she has smoked clove cigarettes from the 2-4 store with me through my anxiety, been up at 3 in the morning when I crumpled into a ball on the kitchen floor after chris broke up with me, and drank tequila with me for 5 months in italy. she has never judged me and i have lived with her for going on four years, including traveling with her through italy, amsterdam & greece for a semester. that is an insane amount of time to live with someone who you don't have sex with and still actually like them. this woman is my bro and always supports my weird decisions/ideas and comes up with crazy ideas of her own. I can talk to her about everything from personal philosophy to religion to sex to politics to weird useless facts and kittens napping in moccasins.
• avery - ok I realize avery is not a person, per say, but she cuddles with me in the morning and follows me around when i feel sad and chases bubbles and makes me laugh and kills all the flies in my room and wears terrible hats that we put on her. that's a friend, right? also she is probably the coolest three-legged dog in the world and a totally dude-magnet which makes her a fantastic wing-man.
• brittaney - somehow, brittaney knows pretty much everything about me. she is there for me 24/7 no matter what she is doing, even if I just text her she manages to respond. she lets me sleep in her bed when i am sad and is always fun to talk to and to go out with and stay in and have spa nights and relax while flicking through wedding magazines. she is the charlotte to my samantha and is incredibly loyal and has my back 100%. this lady always has so much on her plate but she manages to be graceful through it all and always has time for me. she is my cooking partner and I always feel like she is watching out for me which is fabulous. this sounds cliche, but the woman just gets me and we frequently plan fun activities for the entire weekend that make me so happy. she's my soul sister.
• katie - shares my love for fashion and sparkles and ridiculously awesome shoes. katie makes me laugh like no other. just her laugh is contagious and she manages to combine pessimism and self-deprecation in a hilarious way. she says exactly what she thinks and isn't afraid of people which i think is absolutely fantastic. she is a girly girl but also a tough bitch and she is always up for a good time. katie is a total champ and we rip on men together and do shots. she always tells the best stories and i love getting breakfast with her after nights out because she somehow always knows the best gossip about what went down. she keeps me in check and she is fantastic to go shopping with and to get ready with because she won't let you go out without looking absolutely amazing.
