Have you ever wanted something so bad that you almost went insane? Well, I have. Actually, I’ve already gone there. My aunt lives in a small, but secure neighborhood in Las Vegas. Her house is one of the best places I’ve ever visited. I must go there once again, no matter what!
When I first entered her house, I felt chills coming from all the dolls that were placed around the house. There were dolls everywhere, in the hallway, on the couch, in every room of the house. She even has a room that has only dolls in it! I soon spotted the two sweet dogs who were very different in terms of personality and appearance. One of them was a big and strong chihuahua called Chynna. Unique name, right? She seemed really shy when I first met her. I tried waving, but she only looked away. Even before I left, I wasn’t as close as my aunt was to her. The second dog was Snowflake. I’m not sure what breed she is, but she was petite and had fluffy, white fur! Snowflake was so energetic and affectionate; it was the first time I’ve had a pet live with me, so I loved her very much. Lastly, my aunt was really accommodating. Although I didn’t like her bringing me to her dance classes, she pretty much spoiled me the whole time we were there. I want to spend more time with everyone there.
The house is a very significant part of the memory. After all, that’s the place I’ve been obsessing over after our visit to the States. Although I was creeped out by the dolls, the house slowly became precious to me. Sometimes, even in my own house, I felt as if I was vulnerable, as if something terrible was going to happen. In my aunt’s house, no matter what time it was, I never felt unsafe. Whether I woke up at dawn or slept at midnight, the ambience was so relaxing and home-like. One day, I woke up at around five in the morning. I was greeted by the warm sunlight and the empty, but comfortable living room. I wanted time to stop right then and there. I wanted to take in the view. Nighttime, like I said earlier, felt just as safe and calming as the morning. I remember waking up in the middle of the night, realizing I had slept on the couch placed in the living room; my brother had done the same. I woke him up to tell him to brush his teeth. As I was brushing mine, I looked around the house and wondered how this house always felt so secure no matter the time; I was quite surprised, honestly. I regret not taking pictures of the sights I love, unlike what I do now.
As you’ve read, everything about where my aunt lives is memorable to me. Did I forget to mention she adopted another dog her neighbor found on the street while we were there? There are many other places I’d want to visit again in the States. These memories are what I will cherish and never forget. Next time, maybe you’d want to visit too! Beware of the dolls, though. See you there!
