- •Breathe.
- •Distract yourself from what's causing the stress--if it's something you have to deal with immediately, tackle it headfirst. Even if you don't want to. The longer you wait, the more stressful it will become.
- •If you feel the forehead-headache coming on, focus on relaxing your forehead muscles. Take a couple Tylenol to try to help it along.
- •It's okay to skimp on homework sometimes, especially if your head feels like it's about to explode like tonight. Sleep is more important.
- •Make a cup of chamomile with a little honey in it.
- •Try not to worry about what's going to happen--take it moment by moment.
- •If an attack starts coming on, just walk it off. Pace a little, breathe, stop thinking. Whatever you do, just don't keep thinking about it.
- •Put on some music; something calming like Chase Coy or the Lumineers should do.
