top 10 biggest brainrots that overtook my brain for months

  • mizu (from blue eye samurai)

— mizu would kill me and i'd be into it. a perfectly crafted character with a complex backstory and nasty motivations, catered to Me specifically. i have never seen a more fine woman in my life i hope they let her kiss a woman next season

  • bini

— i rly did not think i'd be into another pop group this year, i thought i would be over them in general and that it's a thing of my late teens-early twenties past Alas... jhoanna, aiah, colet, mikha final answer na po opo

— bangerz all around. someone said on twt sa panaginip na lang is for the gays and i haven't stopped thinking about it since. it doesn't help that they have one of the best discogs of any pop group i have ever been into so far. mabuhay ang ppop fr

— this show wouldn't let me rest actually. the perfect friends to lovers. they fucked up with i promised you the moon but we don't need to talk about that. itsay is one of a kind in its genre, a standout among its contemporaries in terms of visual and storytelling. itsay is subtle and picturesque, but sometimes falls victim to emotional draining (at least in my case?) especially right towards the end. i didn't mind the miscommunication in this actually (even if i couldn't stand it elsewhere), because it plays perfectly into the idea of youth and its tendencies to dramatize literally everything. (plus teh is a pisces man... what do we expect OA na OA) it's sweet, well-acted, oh aew has my heart, it's fun, it's super fucking kilig just 10s across the board. i never knew a good show would paralyze the hell out of me for days after watching it that i was heartbroken for days for absolutely no fucking reason. it was bad, boys.

— my roman empire... tayo na lang pran etc. etc. ang cute-cute. perfect male character etc. nanon brought so much charisma and personality to the character, and he's just a rly good actor, probably one of the best of the entire gmmtv line-up? he's sew gewd in the role and i'm glad bad buddy is one of the first gmmtv bls i watched. labyu, pran. i'll be rewatching a lot for u chariz

— a modern classic, already. an outstanding deviation from the confines of its movie namesake that managed to go above and beyond the original premise. it has the familiar touch of my favorite tv show of all time atlanta, with donald glover at the helm and a team of outstanding female writers whose perspective the entire show hinged on. truly, one for the books.

— i absolutely did not intend for this list to be basically just a roundup of tv shows i am into this year at the same time, i have consumed more tv than anything else this year so it's only natural for it to occupy so much of my brain space. absolutely fucking heartbreaking, this show is, and the gateway (?) bl series for me this year. with the fun premise and framing of a video game/dating sim, it was exactly what i needed to keep my attention in one place. the concept is arguably one of the strongest suit of love for love's sake alongside the charismatic lead tae myungha who has my entire heart. i still think about the twist at the end a lot and the quote, "it would be nice to have someone" shot me fucking dead on the spot.

  • omniscient reader's viewpoint

— started reading this again bc i got curious. picked up where i left it in 2020, i think. kim dokja actually kinda one of the perfect male characters ever.

  • namtan tipnaree

— i am in the process of getting thru her filmog (i dabbled in UMG) and she's currently the most precious girl in my eyes right now
