Franvice in Year 2
- Character has weird perspective in some drawings. Watch for that.
- Make sure that head is in proportion to body
- Good keys won't stop bad in-between without good construction.
- Try out some stuff: draw storyboard in comic-type format.
- Bring in new pass to the next class. work violently over the break.
- Character does seem animatable.
- Things that need better construction: torso (decide whether or not it's like a peanut, don't work from outside "silhouette", work from inside, formed construction.)
- Drawings tend to look like they're out of habit
Critique from Linda in Year 2
- More observational drawings
- composition first, observed shapes inside
- Draw standing up
- Draw aggressively, passionately!!
- Try to show movement, pattern.
- Design because of observation.
Critique from Andy in Year 2
- Make purposeful shapes.
- Have a variety in shapes in line-up.
- In particular, he noted "space prince" could be more pear-y if he had fluid, circular shapes instead of boxy hands.
