  • QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS-
  • Do Pagans have a goal of reaching a favorable afterlife? Explain.
  • Personally, I would say we do. We wouldn't want to live a terrible life, so why would it be any different in the afterlife?
  • How do Pagans understand karma? Reincarnation?
  • For me, it's more of a sense of knowing how things will be affected by your actions and how things in your life will affect you due to those actions. I also think of it as a god or goddess acknowledging your actions and punishing/rewarding you for those actions, so to say. No bad deeds will go unnoticed and no good deeds will go without praise.
  • Describe a few of the various understandings of the destinations to which dead souls will travel.
  • Well.. first, I wouldn't exactly label the souls as DEAD. Sure, their physical form may have perished, but do you seriously think that they lose their life as a soul? That would entirely contradict the concept of BEING a soul. And personally, I wouldn't know entirely how all of the afterlives are, due to me not being able to recall anything from my past life or traveling to the afterlives. I cannot describe things of others belief without knowing entirely of their belief in the community. It's not like we all know about each other. So... yeah.
  • Are Pagans preoccupied with questions of the afterlife? Why or why not?
  • Personally, I have a few questions about the afterlife, but I wouldn't say I'm preoccupied with the questions. And once again, I cannot answer for the rest of the community. We may be of the same religion, but not every practice shares the same belief. If you want to know that answer for Pagans in general, I'd say go ask some other pagans because of course, I'm not the only pagan alive.
