memories

• the body had osdd-1a, caused by abuse early in life by its father. "harv" days and "harvey" days were very different, but "harv" and "harvey" were not separate enough to count as separate people. it's strange, i know.
  • osdd-1a is a dissociative disorder diagnosis with amnesia but no distinct parts. intense changes in personality will occur, but not to the level of -1b or did itself.
  • due to the separation, for everyone except those we were close to, we went by "two-face" collectively.
• we were abused and neglected, at home. it caused the actual osdd-1a, and a lot of ptsd. it worsened our ocd, as well- though that was genetic, i think.
  • i remember a lot of empty rooms and a lot of dust.
• the hydrofluoric acid burn on the face was far from even. it crossed over the nose and hit some of the right cheekbone, for example. we also had a coloboma, dryness, and i believe some distorted vision in the left eye; some webbing together of our lips (it was stuck closed at first), cut mostly apart by an underground doctor (but never fully severed); created holes in the muscles that could be pulled; and generally just made everything worse.
• the burns reached down our arm as well. the knuckles almost showed bone.
  • we usually wore a glove, at least on this hand, during jobs to protect it
• we had some sort of relationship - near 100% based on intimacy - with the riddler. there was no romance, because no one was the kind of person for it.
• "harv" specific mems
  • harv days became more and more common post-incident. they were rare before it - very rare. they almost never happened.
  • the use of "we" was a lot more common colloquially on harv days as well. we're sure harvey used it at some point, but almost solely in clinical situations - which he didn't acknowledge much.
  • the rogues gallery was very cold. no one in it really liked each other - save for ivy and harls, who were dating, and eddie and us, who were... *vague gesturing*. it was an "enemy-of-my-enemy" situation. or a lot of coworkers who hated each other.
    • the penguin was sort of the head of it all. he was our boss, our organizer. he put out some heists on his own, but it was usually us.
    • we also had some strokes of friendliness. when harls and joker first broke up, he stalked her for months; we protected her until he finally backed off
  • the iceberg lounge was also cold, but literally this time. always too chilly. the chairs were velvet, and that velvet got cold, and literally that made it worse.
  • the coin had a point on it that we liked to press on with our thumb. we were usually fidgeting with it, and would NOT let anyone touch it - not for a long time, at least.
  • our getaway car was very short, and was manual transmission. we have no idea how we didn't fuckin' break that thing
    • eddie came with us on a heist at one point, when he was newer, and we needed a quick getaway. we sped up pretty quick and his head slammed against the back of the seat.
  • we led a mass breakout at arkham at one point. went amazing. so many of us, all free again
• "harvey" specific mems
  • harvey days were full of dissociation and general awkwardness. living a life of crime was especially fun to "come back" to.
  • bruce was one of my only friends as a kid. i think he lived close by, and we were both sort of "parent-less" - not exactly, but. y'know. we played together a lot. he was kind to me.
  • gilda meant everything to me. she was a light in the darkness, of sorts. always so supportive and loving. i miss her to this day
    • when we were burned i was convinced she'd never love me, looking like this. i ran away; i ran out of the hospital - through a window, into the night - and never came back.
  • the acid burn hurt. so badly. i remember writhing on the courtroom floor, clawing at my face, trying desperately not to let it get any farther. it hissed as it corroded, and got louder and louder as it got closer and closer to my ear.
    • despite it, i still wanted to finish the case; i thought i could, maybe in a few days time.
    • nope.
    • sal maroni was never retrialed, and went free for the most part.
  • being around ed was almost embarrassing? not in the normal way. just... awkward. i tried my best to be kind to him, because, he was a human being, and i couldn't exactly... prosecute him...
    • i made him breakfast once.
  • harvey "fronted" for the first time post-incident while locked up in arkham. it was terrifying; extremely shaking. we were in solitary confinement, and probably for good reason.
