- there are five minstrels. no other true minstrels ever showed up. yes, we did help other creatures find their way through whatever weird patch we found them in.
- i did enjoy mokey’s presence, and loved her like a student (don’t take that the wrong way), but she idolized me a LOT and she was kind of exhausting to follow mentally. it was kind of that feeling where you’ve been at a family function for too long and you’re exhausted and wanna go home, but it’s not anyone’s fault.
- we were really only coming that way on coincidence. however, i directed us that way partly on a Vibe.
- the Eternal Ping was only audible to minstrels. it wasn’t one sound in particular. all minstrels heard theirs at approximately the same time.
- however, one could rig it by touching a minstrel with the intent to check the Ping. i held mokey’s shoulder not only to catch her attention, but also to check - just in case.
- i took mokey with us partly to show her where her heart belonged and not to keep her head too far in the clouds, and partly so i could “hush her up,” as murray described.
- the whole journey only took a few days. at least two, at most seven.
- music makes us real was and still is one of the most fun songs i ever sang. during all the bouncing when i was standing in the middle, i wasn’t bouncing at all - i was hopping!
- this time, we camped just barely out of the rock, in a wide tunnel just before the great hall.
- i knew that murray and brio didn’t really understand each time i said ‘listen.’ however, it’s not really something that can be defined with words as they both did so eagerly. it was a feeling.
- the water song was always brool’s favorite. he loved the place, the sound, the bass part, everything.
- mokey’s test was at about 4 AM fraggle time.
- everyone was still asleep, of course; murray and brool were sleeping close to each other because brool had had a bad few days with nightmares. murray dealt with it when i wasn’t available.
- i waited outside of the singing cave as mokey did her test. i felt some heavy pit in my stomach, but i wasn’t sure where it was from...
- lose your heart and it’s found made and still makes me emo
- the journey back took about half a day. i was very happy to see mokey back home where she needed to be.
